OK...who has girls in the 7/8/9 year old (grades 1-3) range?

Who has girls in the 4/5 (preschool/K) range?

Hi,

We are from Toronto area. My little girl is 5 1/2 years old and is in SK. She says she wants to be e-pals with other kids her age. Please let me know how we should go about this. :)

CRAP! Now where is my DH supposed to sleep??? :rotfl2:

You are so funny! :lmao::rotfl:

We went on a 3 day trip and now I am behind.

This thread is moving really fast, need to catch up.

Welcome back!

We have decided to bring our DS17 on both of the cruises with me! DH and our younger son-7 will be leaving after the TA and now I will not be alone on the first Med.....don't know if that will be a good or bad thing. We tend to clash every now and then. :scared1:

Anyone interested in doing e-mail penpals, just PM me with a preferred email and your child's first name and age/grade. I'll see if I can set up a more organized list and send it out to all of the emails I receive (if this is ok).

We are also on British Airways and now I'm fretting about the potential strike!!

Don't fret. (I know easy for me to say since I am not on British Airways) Just come up with contigincy (I am sure I spelled that wrong) plans just in case and then just monitor it. One thing I was taught is why worry about what you can not change? Your worrying will not change the fact of whether they strike or not. The only thing you are going to do is make yourself feel absolutely horrible leading up to the trip. You should be enjoying the planning and packing process and the leave the rest up to God.

We're on BA too....I'm not worried....IF they strike - there's the question of WHEN - can be before or after our dates & that again is IF they strike. Lufthansa just had a stike....lasted not even 1 day.

Will worry about it as it gets closer.

We are going to announce our cruise plans on Saturday! :yay: We've been keeping it a secret but everyone keeps asking what we're doing over break, some people know, etc...

I'm going to surprise them with a character call. I just read on the big board that you can do this -- I believe it's new to DCL!

Go to My Reservations and scroll down. :cool1:

I signed up for the call yesterday as well. I set it up for the night before the cruise just before my DS's bedtime.

British Airways has 1,000 Volunteer Staff Ready to work as Cabin Crew. They are also in the process of training an additional 5,000 volunteers.
BA will hire 23 fully crewed planes from charter companies to help run flights from Heathrow in the event of industrial action

Still no word on possible strike dates. The BA Cabin Crew Union Unite has less than two weeks to call strikes and will have to give seven days’ notice of any walkouts.

Do you think he'll be able to sleep?

Woody

I know I won't!:woohoo:
I was going to set it up for the day of the cruise but just the thought of being on the ship or in the airport with luggage and two small children while I try to fish my cell phone out of my purse so DS can get a message from Goofy...where is my wine?!

--The "pusher thing" isn't to keep the Cougars away ... it's to keep Terry away from trying to join in on the action! I want the Cougars ALL FOR MYSELF!
Steven Long

MY entire reason for working OT when ever it's offered :lmao: I worked 12 days in a row last month.....kept reminding myself about this cruise (followed by the Dream Maiden Voyage....then LA-Vancouver and 1st Alaska on Wonder...then possible Dream again in November 2011) :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Christmas Organizing Workshop at Sea lead by Krisann Blair, the Christmas Coach!

Here is what I want to do:

If you are interested in attending this workshop which will be about an hour in length I need you to let me know either here on the board or by email (akblair@charter.net). Everyone who signs up will get a free copy of my book.

I am not sure when to do the workshop during the cruise, I am a late night person so I would not have a problem doing it one evening at say 10 or 10:30 after all the activities are finished but that may be too late for some people?

Once we have a group of people we can meet up in the chat room and talk about when to do it.

Those interested in attending:

Didn't Robinhood fight with a staff?

Staff? I don't think he fought with a staff. Wasn't it a band of Merry Men? :lmao:

I'll see if I can be brief (and not get timed out and lose my response - this has happened twice already):

To all the new people - WELCOME!

Keep posting so we know you are with us (and you'll get a free Lanyard and name tag as our gift to you).

If you want to participate in the Fish Extender (FE) gift exchange, let us know and you will be in Group 2 (12 cabins). This consists of giving and getting one gift to/from each of the other 11 cabins in your Group. You can deliver your gift at any time during the cruise - we hope some will pick later days so there will be lots of days that you have something waiting when you come back to your cabin.

to be cont...

The perfect time and place for a photo op: if/when they let the adults make Flubbber -

Cougars in the Club and Cougar Cubs in the Club.

Hey Woody -

Is this a Cougar Cruise? Have you any experience with a Cougar Cruise?

- Lynne

Hey Jeanne - saw you went on a vacation - thought perhaps your house was finally finished and you got to move out of the apartments. With all the cruises you have done and are scheduled for - maybe you like those close living spaces?
