Bounceback Timing Question

I was looking at the threads regarding bounceback offers, to see what may be offered to us next week when we go.

Can someone tell me whether or not the dates on the offer are the dates where discounts are applied to the rooms, or are they arrival dates?

For example, if it says "October 24-November 2", does that mean if we stay November 1-7 that only Nov 1-2 will be discounted, or would the discount apply to my stay because we arrived during the offer?

If it is a room % off offer, then only the covered dates will be discounted. FD deals go by check in date only.

I think we will be having the same problem. We are wanting to do BB for july 31-aug 7. But BB only covers aug 4-7. So trying to decide if we should do a split stay or maybe just be better off if an AP discount comes out?? Sure hoping they announce the AP discounts before we go in May so I will know which way to go for our Aug trip. I am thinking if APs are not better, then we would think about doing POP for july31-aug4 (summer discount) then move over to a Mod aug4-7 using the BB offer. I just hate to move but I guess it will be fine if the discount is better.

Wouldn't it almost be the same if you did the summer discount at say POR and then did the BB at POR? I know the summer discount isn't as much as BB, but at least you wouldn't have to move resorts.

We are going in September and I am hoping to get a bounce back then for 2014.....my question is do I have to request one or are they only put in random rooms as we did not get one during our 2012 trip.....also,not sure if anyone knows this,are the bounce backs usually for the same dates you are currently there ie:we will be there last week of Sept 2013 so will bounceback be last week of Sept 2014.....I was really hoping for a late Oct early Nov bounceback

If the bounceback follows the normal pattern, you would get one for free dining for mid-Aug through mid to late Sept 2014. However, there is no way to know what it will be at this point. Bounceback offers are now given in your welcome packet when you check in. If you don't see one, just call extension 8844 from your room phone. That is the bounceback booking line. They will be able to tell you if there is one.

When I was at AOA the last week of Sept last year, there was a bounce back for free dining (not sure of the resorts). But it was only for about 4 weeks, the last two of Aug and the first two of Sept.

So no, the bounce back will only be for a specific time period of Disneys choosing.

I prefer late Sept, so I didn't book the bounce back. But turns out this year, I am not going in Sept at all

We were there the first week of October last year, and the bounce back was for Aug-Sept 2013 for free dining. I was hoping it was like that whenever you went - that the deal would be for the same time of year. We are going next week, and it'll be pretty much impossible for me to swing another trip in 2013. I was hoping for a Spring 2014 offer. Oh well..
