Bounceback question

Has anyone ever had luck with booking the offer after check out? We were on the fence about it, then DH said let's do it. However he woke up really, really sick the next morning (this past Friday), so we checked out earlier than planned and I kinda forgot about it. We've been kicking ourselves all weekend. I have the number, guess it wouldn't hurt to call. It was for 40% off deluxe for select dates through the rest of the year. We were planning for a long weekend in Oct. to do the MNSSHP and F&W. Any experience?

I've read many reports here on the boards and everyone claims that Disney will not allow you to book after you have check out.

I wish you the best when you call, but personally I think you are out of luck.

A BB must be booked on or before your check out day, so you would not be able to book it now. We have booked several BBs in the past and the CM has always verified that we were indeed staying at a Disney resort at that time.

Bounceback MUST be booked during your stay. WDW will not make exceptions to this rule.

how far out can you book??
we are heading to the World this week & was wanting to go in 2013, can I book that far away or is BB just for the next 6months??

The BB in our room was just through the end of 2011, and only select weeks.

The current BB is good for dates up until the end of 2011. I have seen in the past, BBs with dates as far away as a year but can't recall dates as far away as a year and a half

This may not normally happen, but we did luck out by being able to book a bounceback a few days after checking out. This was a few years ago (I think around when the free dining bounceback first started appearing in rooms). We had the cash for the room deposit to book the bounceback but didn't realize that it could only be booked over the phone and with a credit card. We thought we would be able to book it at the front desk and pay in person.

So once were home, put the $$ back in the bank and called the Bounceback #, it was a Monday so a about 2 days since checking out. They let us book without any question or problems. I don't know if they could tell that we weren't still at the resort or if they checked but they didn't say anything about it.

Maybe we just got really lucky but you never know if you don't try! Good luck!
