Anyone who is either at POFQ now or just left - are there bounceback offers in the room for the free dining for any trip within a year if booked while down there? We are hoping to book our May 2014 trip on a free dining bounceback offer but have been told they have to be posted in the rooms for this to be possible.

Thanks!!!

The bounce back offers aren't longer posted out in the room anymore. They now come in the welcome packet of materials so I think alot of people miss it. :goodvibes

I will be at POFQ in 26 days and can certainly check on that for you.

Just call X8844 while you are still at WDW. But the current bounceback is for free dining from August 20 to Sept 29, 2014. It's not for the whole year.

Really? :sad1: I have had 3 CM's (over the phone) tell me as long as it is posted in the room (or in the welcome packet I guess - thanks for that tip!) that we can use it for free dining in May 2014. That won't be good if we can't get free dining for May. We are using a charter thru a local travel agency to fly down there and we already had to pay our plane tickets in order to get on that flight in May. We were waiting to book the rooms because we were told we could get free dining in May so long as we booked while there in September. Shoot!

Unfortunately, the PP is correct in that the bounceback free dining offer this time of year is typically only for a closed period between Aug and Sept for the following year.

Okay. I am pretty shocked at this though because I had asked 3 different CM's (while making/changing our Sept. reservations) about the bounceback offer for free dining in May and they said as long as I had it in my room then that would be fine. I don't know what to do now.

This is very true. The day we arrived we did the same as the poster above and were offered the same free dining and we did not hesitate to jump on it.:love: So sometimes even CMs can be misinformed.

I mean, if there was free dining bounce back in your room that covers May, then it would work. So technically, the CM's are correct. It's just that the offer doesn't cover May. :guilty:

They didn't say it would cover May, did they? And, even if they did, we all know that the CM's give out some pretty bad info sometimes.

You could check and see what the historical discounts are for that time of year and keep a look out.

I agree with Mousemommy, there are usually general public offers for that time period. This past May we originally booked with a 30% off RO offer, but then we switched to the AP discount because it was a little better.:goodvibes

Good luck....and don't panic!

The 1st CM's exact words to me was that as long as there is a bounce back offer in the room when we get there and we book it (down payment and all) while in the room, then we could use the free dining bounce back offer for any time within a year of our original trip date. I called back 2 weeks later because I changed our resort and a male CM told me the same thing. They didn't say the bounce back offer is for a specific time frame some time within that year. And in early summer I asked a dining rep about the bounce back offer and again was never told it was for a specific time frame. However I was told today that different dept. reps sometimes have different info. So we rolled with that info and booked our flights thru our travel agency so we could get on a charter flight at our local airport instead of driving 2 hours away to the nearest big airport. :sad2: I thought since I had confirmation from 2 different CM's, then they would know what they were talking about. I told them we wanted to come back in May 2014. I guess I'm just upset because how do you trust the info you get then, ya know? How many CM's do you have to speak to until you are comfortable you are getting the correct info? Now I have to figure things out I guess.

Your 30% off room offer was good for a value, mod, or deluxe?

And what is a AP discount?

I called Disney when I saw the responses here and got confirmation about the specific time frame for the bounce back offer. ::sigh:: This CM told me any general public discounts for May won't come out till early March.

Thanks for any info!!!!!!!!!

Not to sound like a broken record, but they didn't give you inaccurate information. It's true, if there is an offer in your room for your dates, then you're golden. But, there's not.

There are sometimes when there is no BB deal available. But, in general, the BB offers have always followed a pattern. I guess if it were me and my trip were dependent on a particular discount, I wouldn't make any arrangements or bookings until I had said discount.

But, again, you'll probably have some type of discount available during your time period. Good luck!

True. I relied on way too many "Oh you'll have a bounce back offer in your room - we always did" and we booked before actually having it. Guilty as charged. We probably would have tried to budget another trip in even without a bounce back offer. Just would have been for the fall. Ironically, probably during the same time the actual bounce back offer is FOR! Ugh.

But I wish I knew that the bounce back offer was for a specific time frame - such as the fall. That's what bugs me the most. And the fact that the travel agency said in order to get on that particular May 4th charter we had to book our flights now (actually this was over a month ago) even though their own discounted packages for Disney don't come out until September 15th. So everyone had to book their flights w/o a definite package price till the 15th. That really bugged me but my sister and I (her family is going too) just figured oh well, we'll get a nice discount anyway because of free dining. And now we won't. Not for May at least. Guess I will have to wait for the agencies packages to come out and then add on any Disney discount that may come out later. The agency said that was allowed. Now if THAT info turns out to be incorrect as well, then I will really flip.

The 30% off was for deluxe. AP means Annual Pass. Sorry!:) I wouldn't worry too much, you probably will get some sort discount for that time period.
