Bounceback Information and FAQ Thread - 25-35% off BOUNCEBACKS ARE BACK for 2025! Updated 1/31/2025

I keep seeing on this thread that bounce back offers can only be over the phone with changes only over the phone, but I did mine last year online and can still make changes to my upcoming Sept stay which is the 35% bounce back. Is this old and I’ll have to call for next year after my stay? Can anyone confirm? Thanks!
I have booked BB offers for all of the past 15 years when they were offered. (They stopped for a few years between 2020 - 2022.) In all of those years, and 20+ bookings, I was never able to book a BounceBack offer online nor make any changes to it. For me it was always done via a phone call both to book and to update.

That is my experience as well. I'd love it if you could book and modify online. But I do suspect that the poster who said they did it online had a different discount.

If you have the discount code they use for the BB maybe you can try to do it online? That is the only way I could see doing it. Guess anything is possible??

Trying to reply to everyone, someone said maybe it wasn't a bounce back and maybe they are right? I got an email and there was a link in that email for 35% off (up to). I clicked it and booked. I can't find the email I must have deleted it, but my confirmation email says "

Special Offer: Return to the Magic and Save on Rooms

"

And I have definitely made changes online since once I changed dates and the other time I changed the number of days for tickets. I am not sure. So maybe I just assumed it was bounce back? But also I thank you all for your replies I now know to definitely plan to call.

That's so interesting. That does indeed appear to be the bounceback offer. I looked up your headline and got the WDW official page, but even there it indicates one has to call:

Yet you got the email and were able to book online. Maybe they've changed things and, if so, that's fantastic!
Also, thanks for posting again with the info.

That is not the email I received for 2 different resorts stays each trip in July, December and February into March this year. All of mine were this “ it’s not good bye” email

When was your stay that you booked the BB with? I had stays at 2 resorts in July & December & a trip with 3 different resorts late February into early March. All my stays were at deluxe or DVC resorts. Does the resort info on your MDE actually show a BB code?

I’m so sorry. After reading replies, My guess is it wasn’t a bounce back offer. I have never made one before. This was my first time. Or I guess not since I might not be one. I wish I had the original email. I don’t I checked again. I stayed at yacht club sept 2023. I booked for this sept 6-12 and staying wilderness. The only thing I can find and I have no clue what this means is a detail note under the reservation saying: CRM CY24 Disney Resort Hotel package. The other thing I copied and pasted on my last post was from my confirmation email after I booked. Hope this helps.

Thank you for trying to figure this out. Even though it seems like a bounceback, maybe it's not. I just looked at the reservation for our bounceback for next February and the code says: CY25 BB RO Room Only. It's the "BB" part of it that struck me. So the "CRM" code must mean something else. Yet your reservation's acting very much like a bounceback. Hmmm.

Thanks for staying with us & answering all the questions. Sorry to be picky, just really was trying to figure out what was happening. That definitely doesn’t sound like a bounceback. The code on my BB is :
CY24 BB RO

Maybe you had a PIN code that you happened to get coincidentally to your stay.

Thanks again for answering!

Thank you for helping us clarify. Appreciate your help.

Sounds like many of us wish we had the opportunity to book and modify BB offers!

Everyone is welcome and thanks to everyone for the help and I definitely understand but will plan to call for next year though and I agree with everyone being able to do it online would be better for sure!

Have a triplanes for October and planning on using the bounce back for May 2025. If I go ahead and make a reservation for my 2025 room and resort category would I be able to convert it to the bounce back offer while staying in October?

Yes, if that particular room is also available under the BB offer. I spoke to a rep recently regarding rooms for this coming July and September. Although there were many rooms available at the Disney site, she could only offer me one specific room category from only one hotel out of my top 3 choices.

So would you think a 2 bedroom villa would be hard to get? Or are villas really hard to get? Also there is nothing that you can look at before you call once you are on onsite to see what is available? Correct?

I think it will be challenging to get a 2BR villa with the BB offer, especially at a more popular resort. You will have to book some type of room using the BB offer within the 7 day window, you can then call and change the reservation at a later date if something else comes available. But if you don't book something using the BB within the required 7 days, you cannot use it or convert a non BB reservation to a BB reservation later. Hope that makes sense! You might be better off looking to rent points ASAP for a 2BR, it will be less expensive, too. It's the 11 month mark for May 2025, so owners can book for May now. You can use a rental service or look here on this board for an owner with points to rent.

We've had 3 stays since the first of the year. No bouceback offers for me at all! What gives? We have another stay in Oct. and I wanted to use one!

Did you call and ask? As long as you are not staying on points, you qualify. You have 7 days from checkout to call and book. You may not receive any promotional material in your room, sometimes an email is sent, but it’s not necessary to book an BB, CRO can see when you stayed. And not all room types or even resorts may be available.
