Bounceback Information and FAQ Thread - 25-35% off BOUNCEBACKS ARE BACK for 2025! Updated 1/31/2025

@TISHLOVESDISNEY - Hopefully someone who has booked a room for other people not on the original reservation will chime in. Did you book this online or did you talk to someone at that time about booking the additional room traveling with you in your son's name? You may need to call them and explain. You are indeed allowed to book up to 3 rooms (so, one for you and 2 for people traveling with you), but we have not received updates in this thread yet about how that works when booking multiple rooms in the new online system.

I booked online and it would not let me change my name as lead at all. With AP past reservations, it'd let me change my name, but it still wasn't right so I'd have to call in.

We booked 2 rooms and weren’t allowed to do it online so had to call in to change the lead on the second room and book. It took a good 40 mins to go through each person’s details (name birthdate email). If we cancel or change resorts the second room will also need to be cancelled/changed with us as they’re tied together. They had to be added to our friends and family list (have their own MDE accounts). I would do it ASAP as there might not be rooms available if you wait too long.

Agree with Disterbia. If you’re trying to book more than 1 room for a particular BB stay, you need to call. The website isn’t set up to do this. We’re lucky to,be able to book even a single room online the way Disney IT operates.

@TISHLOVESDISNEY I’m assuming you had to make 2 different reservations with different reservation numbers? Since lead guest names can’t be changed & you’re past your booking period, IDK if the CM will be able to do anything. Guest services might be able to adjust them but even that seems iffy. To change the lead guest, they’d have to make a new reservation & they don’t seem able to do that outside the 7 days.

Did you put your name & both of theirs on that room? Personally, I’d probably have my name & theirs listed in that room. Yes, you’ll pay the extra adult charge, but it might be worth it. Then they’ll be able to get MBs & use all the features etc with no issue. Did you buy a package with tickets on the reservations? That would be the only hitch… you would have 2 sets of tickets in your name. But you could save that ticket to use on another stay.

Or to avoid all that, do what you thought & add 1 to your room. Then no extra adult charge & no extra ticket. If you add 1 of them to your room, they could get MBs normally. You could get 2 key cards to open their door. At the front desk, you could link their credit cards to their individual Magic bands. So if they charge anything with MBs, it would go to their cards, not yours. They could use everything on their MB except the room door, just use the key card for that.

Sorry, I hope I didn’t confuse you. If you call, please let us know how it goes.

When do they normally release for the next year (2026)? If you wanted a BB for the first quarter of 2026 and your are going in May of 2025, could I book a BB for the end of 2025 and change it to a 2026 reservation when they are released.?

I am a little concerned with my bookings.
So I booked a BB for my Dec trip for our July return. I booked 2 rooms under my account, but one is for my son and his girlfriend, who were not on the first trip, but I assumed I could do this since it is my party, we just need 2 rooms. But it would not let me put my son's name only mine. I figured when I call in to payoff I could change the name (have done this in the past with AP rate rooms) but since it is a BB and they weren't a part of the first trip will I have issues? I definitely don't want to lose my rates, so should I just add the other adult to my room with myself and my DS13 and leave it? I know I'll have magicband issues, but DS can open the door if need be...
Call Disney ASAP.

I had the exact same problem and it took me a bit to get it straightened out. You’re definitely allowed to book up to three rooms on your BB offer but there’s no way to book rooms without your name on them when you do it yourself online.

It took over an hour on the phone to fix my three room booking.

When you call, my advice is to be sure you get someone who really knows what they’re talking about. I found that the information is not always consistent.

@ TISHLOVESDISNEY last October I booked 3 rooms on the BB but I couldn't do online back then and had to call. I had no problem. I booked one for my husband and I one in my sister and her husband and one in my niece and her family. All separate reservations. And they now control their reservations. And they were not with my husband and I on the trip. The only stipulation is that I have to make sure I am on the trip this coming October which of course I will be. I had no issues when I called. Of course I needed all the reservation info needed to book them like names phone number address and email. Hope all works out for you.

Oh and it took about 50 minutes of my vacation time but it was worth. And I had a great cast member which always helps. I know many hate to call but this was one time I didn't mind because I got what I wanted and have a fun family trip to look forward to in late October over Halloween which is always a fun time. I do love the BB offer. And looking forward to booking many more. 🤗

Here’s my beef with the entire situation:

While I never got an email after my trip, when I was at The Yacht Club they did drop off a flyer in my room about the bounce back offer with a code to scan inviting me to make the reservations myself online. So that’s what I did, but I ran into problems with having to have my name in all three rooms.

When I called Disney to straighten it all out more than one cast member told me you could not do it yourself online, even though I just had! And it was quite a process to get all of the reservations corrected.

In retrospect, would’ve been much easier to just call and have them do it all from the beginning. But I’m a little bit of a control freak so I always do all of my reservations on my own. I was a little annoyed at the conflicting and incorrect information I got from more than one person at Disney both before and after I had booked.

But in the end, I am happy I have my bounce back reservation in place. Of course…

Did you call during your 7 day booking period? Or booked all your 3 rooms then but called back much later? The PP booked her BB rooms in December, so 3 months ago. That’s the biggest question I have…are they able to fix it all these months later?

I don't have an answer for that as I did everything within my 7-day window. The original booking and the changes.

When I called to make the changes, they implied that the reservations I made were somehow not really correctly made for the bounceback - although they were booked following the Disney bounce-back "bar code" and were at the rates of the bounce-back offer that had been quoted to me when I had called a few days before booked to get some info.

Again, I wasn't crazy about how it was handled, but in the end it worked out.

Because of the "control freak tendencies" I mentioned before, there was no way I was going to let that 7-day period pass with my reservations being anything but exactly as I wanted them.

Quick followup- for now I have just added DS21's girl friend to my and DS13's room, so I don't have to pay extra for a 3rd adult.
I don't feel like sitting on the phone for an hour, so I'll call tomorrow or Monday.
I actually, to throw possibly more confusion into the mix, lol, have a split stay reserved.
WL CL for 3 nights, then YC 3 nights. The rates are fantastic, especially for a CL room, so I will keep it as is if they say they can't take my name off the 2nd rooms and move my DS's GF to his room. Since my name being on both will confuse my magic band, DS13 can be the magic band door opener for our room. :)
I will report back after I call.

Hi, just returned from our disney trip. We plan on returning next march but any bounceback dates haven't been released. Should I book any of the available dates for this year and then modify a reservation if 2026 dates become available? Is that allowed and will i get the bb rate? Thanks

I recommend that you book a bounceback now. For late 2024 and 2025, Disney just added / extended dates instead of dropping a new offer. So you could change dates into the new dates.

There is no guarantee that this is how it will definitely work for 2026, but it’s how it worked for end of 2024 and 2025. I would book now (within 7 days of checkout) because it can’t be booked later and at least it gives you a chance at booking a future date if the offer is extended again.

Of course, like all offers, there needs to be availability for your future dates in the room/resort/date under that offer, and not all dates are included to be booked in the future. Dates are always posted in the first post and CMs can check availability for you. I’m not sure if you book online now and you have the modify button, if extended dates will be available to be changed to online.

Thank you for taking the time to reply! Great information thanks 😊

Ok so i booked a 10 day room only reservation for November. Once BB offers are released for 2026 (hopefully) i plan to modify.
If I want to stay more than 10 days on the modified reservation, would they honor the bb price for the additional days?
Thanks

Yes, as long as all the dates you want to book are included in the bouceback offer. (Sometimes holiday weekends or marathon, etc. aren’t included)
