I'm way ahead of myself with this question, but... If we were to book a bounce back offer on our trip this fall, then are we able to still give our TA the business?

You can only book a bounce back by calling from your resort room while you are staying at the resort. Why would you want to give a reservation that you made to your travel agent?

Our travel agent said we could somehow tell their name to the booking agent when we called for the bounceback offer and then the TA would own the booking. I opted to just do it myself and not involve the TA especially since I have made changes to it which were easier to do myself.

Yes, you can book the bounce back, then when you get home transfer it to your TA if you want.

I didn't transfer a bounceback, but I did make the reservation myself and then transfer it to a TA. (I'd had the phone CM place a hold on a package for me while we ran the numbers one last time.) She emailed me a form that I printed, filled out and scanned to email back to her. Took a few days for WDTC to transfer it to her, but they did it. It has to be done I think within 2 weeks of making the initial reservation.

Because it's free to the OP but helps support a small business, and because you want to take advantage of other TA perks, like them making your dining reservations or having a dedicated person to answer your questions.

Yes I did this. You can book it then transfer to your TA. Sometimes you can just tell them she you are booking that it's the same TA that you used for your current reservation and they can apply it then.

When I booked my BB they could tell my current reservation had been made by a TA and they asked if I wanted to give her this reservation. I said no as I wasn't happy with her, but it was an option.

Thank you all! These responses sound like it could be easy. Much easier than getting DH to agree to booking a trip in the middle of a trip we're on!

Just reconfirming what the others have said. Yes, you can have your TA put on when it's first booked. The CM on the phone has to very your current reservation and can see the TA info.

I'm sure your TA appreciates that you are thinking of him/her and giving them your business.

As a TA myself, I just wanted to say a very big thank-you for supporting your local small business! We really do appreciate it so very much! :lovestruc

Your travel agent can actually book your Bounceback offer for you so that you can enjoy your vacation without worrying about making the booking. Some TA's will not do it but some of us have no problem calling and booking it for you!
