Hi,

I'd like to try the new Bounce Dryer Bar because anything that's going to cut back on the amount of stuff I'm paying to send to the landfill is good by me.

Has anyone tried the new Bounce Dryer Bar and did you think it is worth the money it cost?

Do you think it lasts as long as they say? Did it fall off and bounce around in your dryer and make a lot of noise.

I bought it a few weeks ago. I loved the idea of it, however, it only lasted 2 weeks for us (and we were gone 6 of those days!) with moderate usage. It did not fall off or leave icky stains on the clothes (check out amazon for these reviews) but I cannot justify spending that much on softener that only lasts for a handful of loads. I even emailed them about my concern (maybe mine was defective?) but they were less than sympathetic and basically said it depends on the heat of your dryer and usage. I'm guessing in trials they had it on low and only ran it for 20 minutes per load which got them to the 3 month mark or whatever they are claiming. Oh, and, if you are easily icked out, by the 2nd or 3rd load, there was lint-like stuff stuck to it making it look gross. If you try it, best of luck to you! I would buy it again in a heartbeat if it a) lasted longer and/or b) were less expensive.

I bought one of these about 3 weeks ago and have been using it since and have not had any problems yet. During the first load it did fall out of it's holder and was clunking around in there. I put it back in and bent up the clips on the end of the holder and it has not fallen out since. I do about 5-6 loads per week and the bar still looks basically new, the wording on top is just beginning to wear off. I did get the bigger bar, the 4 month bar. I do dry all of our clothing on the delicate cycle (lower heat) and only dry towels/sheets on high heat...the dryer runs about an hour and a half for each load (our dryer is about 8 years old). So far it has worked well for me and I love it.

I've had mine for a couple weeks now, can't recall exactly when I bought it. I haven't had any problems with it falling off or lint build up on it. I probably do at least 4 loads of laundry a week (I don't count) and do not dry on low and I don't see any signs that it's running out.

I hadn't been using dryer sheets or anything except some dryer balls. I like the fact you can leave it in the dryer and don't have to think about adding the softener.

I didn't realize they sold this on Amazon. Huh. They sell way too much stuff on there.

After those reviews and the mixed reviews here I think I'll skip it (I was only considering because it's on sale and I have a coupon) at least until they've improved it.

Plus, I knew the base was adhesive, but I was hoping the bar would be removable but based upon reviews if you remove it your done. DH washes his own clothes because he hates fabric softener and some of his clothes specifically state not fabric softener so I need something I can take out for when we don't want it.

I bought a 4 month one...maybe a month or so ago. I do about a load a day.

I like it okay. I don't think that it softens super well, but it does not have static...smells nice.

Haven't had any issues with it staying on. Still lots of stuff left on it.

I won't use it again:snooty: . It fell out of the holder and could not get it to go back in. This was after maybe 2 weeks of usage. May try the new "all in one" sheets though?

I bought one and mine is working fine... it also fell off in the first cycle but I put it back on.. .it has stayed and is working fine.... I love not having those dryer sheets left over and sticking to the clothes when I am trying to fold them....

I haven't tried it, but I like the display at Walmart. :) I like the dryer balls because they really help my clothes dry faster. Unfortunately they're very loud bouncing around in the dryer!

Happy with mine. I do about 8 loads per week and dry them on medium for about 50 minutes. It is lint covered. The clothes smell really fresh. I bought mine on sale with a $1.50 off coupon. I have not had any issues with it, except one white streak on a shirt in a darks load--it came out after rewashing so no real issue. So far I am on two weeks of use and I can still read the words on the bar.

I did three loads with mine. It smelled fresh, and took away static cling. But the actual sticky thing kept coming off the dryer. I would restick it, only to have it fall off again. During the second load it started to break apart. During the third load it came unstuck from where it was supposed to be and permanently stuck itself to the back of the dryer where the heat comes from, blocking a good portion of that area. After waiting for that area to cool (being blocked, it got overheated) & using strong cleanser to get off the sticky residue, I threw it in the trash fiercly. I do not need to babysit fabric softener.

As for the Purex all in one sheets, I LOVE them. I used them on vacation and fell in love with them. If they were not so expensive, I would use them every day. The clothes are clean, they smell great, and it is super easy.

I have had mine on for about 6 weeks. I do a load a day and it has not fallen off. The clothes still smell good and no static.

I've had mine for about a month now I believe. I tried it because I had the coupon for $1.50 and found it on sale, so I didn't mind trying it out for a good price. It hasn't fallen off at all and it still seems to have a lot of uses left. I prolly do at least 5 loads a week.

I too was interest in that new 3 in 1 sheet though. Never really a fan of Purex... anyone try that yet?

Oh, and, if you are easily icked out, by the 2nd or 3rd load, there was lint-like stuff stuck to it making it look gross. If you try it, best of luck to you! I would buy it again in a heartbeat if it a) lasted longer and/or b) were less expensive.

I'm glad you posted, that would have never crossed my mind. I bet ours would be dog hair covered in no time.:rotfl2:Sounds like the Bounce Dryer Bar is not for us.

:thumbsup2
I do ALOT of laundry. 4 teen/adult kids. And mine has worked fine. It has not fallen off, is not dirty, and we have 2 dogs, and a cat. I stuck it one next to one of the fins inside the dryer, on the side where is would be pushed towards the fin. Does this make sense? Maybe this helped, not sure.

Was ready to buy one today, but our store doesn't have them yet. Will definately wait for a coupon-and more reviews.:laundy:

Ours only worked for a few weeks. By the 7th or 8th load I noticed the greasy looking stains on our whites. The whole bar fell off in the dryer and finally I just threw it away. Next I'll try the 3-in-1 sheets.

I use dryer balls. I can reuse them over and over and not worry about anything going to a landfill.
