Bounce back tickets

My family is taking a last minute trip to WDW for a long weekend. Ordinarily I would never even think of only visiting the park for two days, but we are only taking this trip to use up airfare vouchers that I couldn't stand to waste. We were planning on purchasing one-day passes for each of the two days. I read in one of my guidebooks that Disney also has a bounce back pass that is not heavily advertised.

According to the book, the bounce backs are less than the one day passes, must be purchased at the same time as the original one day pass, and expire within 4 days. Each successive day gets cheaper.

Since there are 4 adults, I was thinking of trying to buy one regular one day pass and 3 bounce back passes for each day. Has anyone ever used this type of ticket? Are they dated for use beginning on the day following the original ticket?

The tickets won't work the way you think they will.

First, they are called 2 day/2 park or 3 day/3 park tickets. Most CM's will have no idea what you want if you ask for "bounce back" tickets.

Second, here's the way they work: you can either buy a 1 day/1 park ticket, use it and before you leave the park for the day, you can upgrade it to a 2 day or 3 day OR you can purchase the 2 day or 3 day all at once. The total cost will be the same either way. Each person must have their own ticket so you will need to get 4 of them.

1 day/1 park - $55.38
2 day/2 park - $105.43 (reflects the $5 savings over two 1 days)
3 day/3 park - $155.49 (reflect the $10 savings)

Day 2 must be used within 4 days of purchase. Day 3 must be used within 6 days of purchase.

Is there something for 4 day/4park ?? I want to go to each park, but my DH will never be a hopper. Especially since we are going 1st week of december and the parks will close early. I feel like its such a waste to buy hoppers.
THANKS

Once you get to 4 days, the tickets are all hoppers. But you can certainly use them in only one park per day if you wanted.

Really? Wow, who'd a thunk it? ;)

Bradsmom:

You may want to rethink hopping. With Epcot staying open the latest, we always find ourselves ending those short December days at Electric Umbrella (I think that's what it's called?) watching/listening to the beautiful fountain. With everyone else over in World Showcase, we feel like we have the park to ourselves and can do several rides in a short time. Or we'll just take a ride on the momorail and see the lights from there.

Our day just doesn't seem to end with that magic unless my kids are chasing the stars in the sidewalk as we leave Epcot at closing time. (Where's the sighing, daydreaming smiley? ha ha!)

With Animal Kingdom open early and Epcot open late, you really can extend your days with the hoppers.
