We were in WDW this Christmas. We tried on a few occasions to talk to someone in the lobby about the free dining package that was being offered for Aug-Sept travel. On our last day we tried again but the time was not good because we had to leave for the airport early...trouble with the CM not being able to confirm our flight on their computers....worked out ok just afew extra minutes at the airport and we could not use ME so we had to leave earlier than expected. so sad. Anyway, we were told to put a postcard in the slot and someone would contact us. A few weeks later someone did and we called back and could not get ahold of the person. Well, someone...not saying who..DH erased the message!!! I have no number to try now. I know it has been weeks since the trip , months even but I would like to try to see if we can still book this. Anyone have any ideas where I should start? I just tried WDW ressies and they didnt have any contact info. Does anyone have a number from when they booked that they could pass on to me?? I am so frustrated!!!! I know it is our fault but I would love to get this worked out. YIKES.
 
I called a few places, ressies, POR (Where we were staying Christmas) The last CM I spoke to said that I have permission to kill DH. She was laughing. unfortunatly it is to late to find the info. It is our fault. Oh well:confused3 I tried. She said that perhaps the ressie was started and they may contact us but she can't seem to find anything and has no contact #. If anyone needs to make changes to their ressie now they can just go through regular WDW reservations. She thought that there may have been another contact # but she can't find it. Again, oh well, we made a huge mistake!!!!!!! If anyone does find a different contact number please send it to me. Now I will go and try to find a way to get us to WDW, other codes, AAA etc.....hmmm insurance $ would pay for a nice hotel!!!!!!!! hee hee.
 
Have you tried contacting guest communications. Here is the email I have from long ago. wdw.guest.communications@disney.com Not sure if it's still any good, had it stored in my addersses for a long while. Just a thought. They were very helpful to me regarding a different situation.

I had a similar thing happen to us in December. I contacted guest relations twice and so far I have gotten is the automatic response saying they received my letters!

I so wanted to book a vacation in Sept but so far no luck!:confused3
 

I know that losing the number was our fault. I just wanted to say that I hated the KISOK thing though. We tried on a number of occasions to get some questions answered by the CMs at the front desk of the hotel and although they were very nice they didnt have any information. We didnt even hear about the Bounce Back deal from WDW until our 4th day there when a little paper thing appeared next to the phone in our room.:wizard: MAGIC. Of course we already knew about it from these boards. We were there from Dec 23-31. I tried to get some questions answered about the package because we needed to book a handicapped access room and was unsure how to do that. We always use Special Services. We also had a few questions about if we had our nurse come and she came later and wanted to stay later could she do that. I asked at the front desk and they were the ones who gave us the little post card to fill out. One of hte CMs I spoke to said it was really confusing because it was only at certain times at certain hotels. We asked if we could just book a room from WDW reservations and then change it and we were told no, they would contact us. I didnt like the kiosk, I wish that they had just had the front desk CMs book the beginnig of the package and then you could make the speicifics later. Oh well, we goofed. I did send a short note to guest services to see if they can help in anyway. I also woudl just like to know for future if we can book handicapped ressies with a CM or if we always need to go through Special Services. I'll let you know if I hear anything. The bounceback number was 407 541 5527.

I read about all the trouble guests were having last fall (getting info on the offer while at WDW) and someone posted this number. I saved it in case I needed it.

I finally got a great CM who took down my info and went and checked. He came back 10 minutes later and asked if I could continue to hole. I did and he came back and said that they had found the info. They had listed that I was called and that I had called back and that someone was checking on information for our trip (he even had the dates). He said the final note said that they (WDW) were checking on some information. He said that that was the end. He could not find out anything more. I said that was how it ended here too. He was unable to conifrm our vacation as the dept is gone. The Bounce Back dept is gone. He checked with his supervisor and was unable to book us our trip with the free dining. He was so nice. He said he was so sorry as he could see in the computer we were there within the time period and he could see the started ressies in the computer with the notes but there was no way they could finish booking the trip with the free dining. He said he would love to be able to find somehow to put us under free dining but that the compute will not let them. He was so nice. I aksed if there was any other offer (code, Pin, special) we were able to use and he checked our name and said no, sorry there isnt at this time. I asked if he thought that there would be free dining offered this year and he paused and said, We are so busy this season.........the parks are going to be very full.....I think he was trying to say NOPE!!!! Oh well. That is it, we will not be going to WDW this summer.
 
What exactly is the bounceback offer?

We were in Disney twice last year (late August and early November)....do we qualify???
 
You had to be staying at one of 3 resorts- POR, POP or another (I don't remember which one) from around Thanksgiving thru Dec. We were actually at Old Key West and were very disappointed that we didn't qualify, as we normally would be staying at POR or POP but got a great deal on DVC points that one time. If I had only known.... The bounceback deal offered free dining for a return trip .
 
You didn't have to be staying at those specific resorts, that's just where the desks were set up to book the package. Pretty much any guest staying onsite during the qualifying period could go to one the the desks and book prior to check-out. The problem was that the desks were sometimes difficult to find and weren't always staffed on a regular basis. Also, most of the CMs working in the resorts had no information on the promo and were not very much help when people inquired about it. Couldn't you also book it by calling a special phone number?
 
Hmm.. well now I am twice as disappointed... when I called back in December or Jan they told me you had to be staying in one of those resorts...course it was Central and not the special number, cuz I didn't know about the special number.
 
disney was a mess with this offer
we stayed GF concierge in NOV and I saw the offer on allears before we left when we got there no one knew what i was talking about
 
The CM I finally got to speak to who really looked up the info said that they (WDW) put together a dept for The Bounce Back Program and that they were sort of "thrown into it". He also said that they had dismatled the group before some of the packages had been closed out...like ours was. He also said that the CMa nd thier supervisors were disappointed that there were so many disappointed people who thought they had packages but they were never tied up. He was also very sorry that there was no way to get into the system to put us in as he could see we had started the booking and that WDW was the ones who didnt follow through. He could also see that we were in the hotel for the dates, he had our new booking started (hotel ,dates etc) but it was never finalized because they were supposed to check on a few facts and contact us back. I think the poor people making the calls had no idea as to what to do with questions like ours (Special needs children, special room requests, insurance questions). It seemed to be very poorly put together and very poorly run. I know the hotle staff had no idea how to get in touch with the people who came to book the packages in the hotels. They told us they just came and sat and then left. One of the CMs thought it was the same people who did the vacation club and the curises while he was telling us that another CM was saying no it isnt...I dont think they knew what was going on either. Its to bad it was a nice package and I think many missed out due to lack of info or incorrect info.
