So we decided to stay at Boulder Ridge for the first leg of our next trip and im having a hard time figuring out what requests to make! We are staying in a one bedroom and I'm worried we're going to get one of those vaulted ceilings. Are they really that bad? Is it true that some corner rooms dont have the murphy beds? What are your favorite room requests here?

If you get a 1 bedroom on the top floor (and I think some on the 4th floor too), you will have 1 king bed and 1 sofa bed (NOT a murphy.) So if the murphy is important, I would request a lower floor. I did this on both of our trips (January 2024 and January 2025) and we were placed on the first floor. Next time, I would maybe request floors 2-3 just to not have a ground floor for once. Though...it was nice and quick without having to fuss with an elevator. We just find we don't sit on a patio as much as we would sit on a balcony, for some reason.

Thank you, very helpful! I wonder why they did it like that

I believe it's because in those top floors, there are some slants in the ceiling that wouldn't allow enough space for the murphy.

Here's a screenshot from a youtube video...

I saw a tour of another 2-bedroom that had a couch instead of a murphy...but the wall was flat. And it looks really stark without the murphy. I'll be sad if I get that one someday.

Vaulted ceiling rooms are nice to me at least… The bigger downfall to the pull out coach is being in one over the summer months. The rooms are warmer during the day from the sun on the roof. The standard AC as other rooms just can’t cool those rooms well hard enough for a vaulted ceiling but one in the height of a Florida summer = at best 78-79 in the room by 3pm. Nights are fine however.
