Well that pretty much seals the deal with all that plastic on the carpet. Looks like the refurb is official not just new
test rooms!

Yup. That’s full-swing baby!Well that pretty much seals the deal with all that plastic on the carpet. Looks like the refurb is official not just newtest rooms!
That’s a full-on refurb then, no doubt about it now.Checked in today (room was ready at 7:30AM). We’re on the 3rd floor. As usual when I stay in a new place I explored the entire building. 5th & 4th floor have plastic on the carpet & signs on each floor but I saw or heard no construction going on today. The plastic on the fifth floor goes all the way to room 5545 but on the fourth floor it stops at 5535. I also noticed the plastic in front of those two rooms on the fourth floor go all the way to the room while everywhere else is just in the middle of the hallway on the carpet. The sign saying no photography was not up today. I will check during the week we are here until next Saturday.
5th Floor pics are first then 4th floor.
What family only has one suitcase? I would love it if there were at least two luggage racks in a room.Bed runners are to protect against the dull minded folk who take their dirty wheeled luggage and put it on the sheets. Too many are perplexed at what the folding rack in the closet is for.
Not disputing that two luggage racks would be good. But we are a family of 3 with only one suitcase most of the time. My friend is moving to Paris for a year and her family of 4 is taking one suitcase. What family only has one suitcase? I would love it if there were at least two luggage racks in a room.
Impressive! I wish I could manage that! Not disputing that two luggage racks would be good. But we are a family of 3 with only one suitcase most of the time. My friend is moving to Paris for a year and her family of 4 is taking one suitcase.
With airline and baggage handling issues, we try to fly with only 3 backpacks now.
Shoes are definitely the toughest item to try to cut down on! We have taken to wearing Birkenstocks for short trips, or I’ll wear my running shoes onto the plane & pack flip flops for longer ones.Impressive! I wish I could manage that!
I'm really trying to figure out how to fly with carry on only for our next trip because of the loss of Magical Express luggage delivery and resort airline check in. I just don't think it's possible. Multiple pairs of shoes for everyone and toiletry limits are the main issues even if I do laundry mid trip.
Family of three, four suitcases (and an Owner's Locker) here. I get free bags for up to 8 people through airline status, but I'd still cough up 50 bucks to add a suitcase if I had to if it means less stress and more than only 2 pairs of underwear each for an 8-day trip.Impressive! I wish I could manage that!

Carry on only for our next trip is something I'm giving a lot of thought to but in reality it's probably a fantasy. We're currently a large suitcase per person, plus another one or two for shared items, familyFamily of three, four suitcases (and an Owner's Locker) here. The Poly flip isn't generic. It's gorgeous and modern and sophisticated.
I don't want a gross, unwashed bed runner anyway.
I wasn’t specifically referring to the bed runners - as someone said previously it usually ends up folded on a chair for me.Exactly! I think the white beds look much "cleaner".... I shudder thinking of some of those old bedspreads they used to have. LOL I'm sure lots of small items like decorative pillows disappear.
3 of my family just finished a 12 day trip to Scandinavia. Each of us only took a carry-on because of all the airline issues. It was a challenge. However, now that we successfully did it, I don’t foresee us going back to full-size suitcases. (For what it is worth we didn’t do laundry, each had an extra pair of shoes and there were clean clothes for every day (although, pants/shorts were worn multiple days.)Not disputing that two luggage racks would be good. FIX THE WEBSITE BILL!!!!!
I'll never check a bag into MCO. We ship our luggage! 2 bags costs less than the airlines charge now. But that is amazing, I don’t have that in me.Not disputing that two luggage racks would be good. Not until I see a finished room and we verify they didn't do a half-hearted mess of a refurb.Has @_auroraborealis_ put the pitch forks and torches back in storage?
Well, those spy photos definitely indicate a full refurb a la SSR. Now whether or not we find it aesthetically pleasing is another thing. Not until I see a finished room and we verify they didn't do a half-hearted mess of a refurb.
I’m back at home, so keep checking and updating! We were in 4537, right next door to the rooms being remodeled. Yesterday when I was at the FD, I asked about the refurbishment and was told half of BR was going down starting in October then once done, they were taking the rest of the rooms out of service to complete the project. No timeline for completion, though. I did notice yesterday morning the sign was gone, probably makes sense, it just advertised something was going on. I never did make it up to the 5th floor. Those 11 days went by too quickly! Can’t wait to see what the changes will look like!Checked in today (room was ready at 7:30AM). We’re on the 3rd floor.
