I watched two different 1 bedroom villa room tour videos. One video shows a shower, sink and toilet all in one room. The other video shows the toilet contained in its own enclosed stall with the shower and sink in another room. I am confused. Are there two different 1 bedroom floor plans? Our family would prefer the layout whether the toilet stall is separate from the room with the sink and shower. Are there certain buildings that have the separate toilet stall? This setup is much more convenient for a family.

Was the first video of an accessible room?

I've only had the second type that you describe. The problem with the unofficial Disney room videos on youtube is that a lot of the people who take them are not all that knowledgeable themselves. They fail to point out differing layouts such as accessible rooms and give the impression that the room they are in is the norm, because they haven't stayed there enough to know the difference. They are also notorious for mislabeling names of room categories.

This is correct. The HA room eliminates the door between the toilet room and the sink area to allow wheelchair access. This is the standard one-bedroom layout:

We were in a 1BR where the toilet was in a separate water closet off the room with the sink and shower. The main issue with this is, is it isn't like someone can be taking a crap while others are showering. You still have to exit the water closet through the room with the shower. So I don't know how that makes it any more convenient.

I suppose if you're dropping a deuce someone else could be brushing their teeth?

Regardless,, the bigger problem is it's the only toilet in that unit, so everyone, including anyone who is sleeping in the living room, has to go through the master bedroom to use it. Not a big deal at 2 PM, but another story at 2 AM.

There is a separate vanity in the room with the tub, so they could brush their teeth in there. I can see the issue with having to go by the master to get to the bathroom, but it isn't all that bad as you don't have to physically walk through the bedroom to get to the toilet area. This is why they make two bedroom villas.

That's what i said.

I don't disagree. We don't stay in anything but 2BR dedicated villas anymore. My point was simply that for those who DO choose a 1BR, with the queen-sized murphy in the LR, they still need to be prepared to have the guests sleeping in the LR at least walking through the bedroom door to hit the john in the middle of the night. Maybe not all the way through the bedroom, but you do have to go through the bedroom door. No locked bedroom door, no privacy (which is fine with small kids, but maybe not so much with older kids or extended family).

Oh wow. I didn't realize that other occupants would need to enter through the bedroom doorway to access the toilet. Kind of awkward when bedroom occupants sleep in the nude. So there is no dedicated door to solely enclose the bedroom?

No door on the bedroom. It is just a wide opening into the bedroom from the short hallway area in front of where the laundry was. If it were dard in the bedroom, you probably won't see much. I get that some people sleep in the nude, but when traveling with others in such a situation, might be better to keep something on.
