We took the plunge, signed our contracts, and put the balance on our Disney Visa early last month. We've been really busy, but I wanted to thank the host of this board and the frequent contributors for making this such a helpful, informative site.
We bought 200 points at SSR....and opted not to sell the first year back to Disney......even though our next visit is planned for Mar05 and our use year is February (still not sure if I should have held out for a different one). We've already arranged to rent our 2004 points to a really nice family we found on the rent board. While we don't plan to be regular renters, it is a very nice option to have....and these boards make it possible -- even easy. Frankly, this was one feature that helped get me "off the DVC fence".
We can't wait until Mar05....we've never stayed at a DVC resort. We'll make our first visit to SSR, but I think we'll try a new DVC resort each year....until we decide upon a favorite. While I don't ever see Vero in our future, living in NC, I can envision regular short trips down to HHI.
Thanks again for everyone's help and your many contributions to this board. I'm now an addicted lurker, but seldom poster.
