I have just gotten the blue DVC Card?
I thought this was meant for those who purchased direct and I would get the white card?

Does this mean I can get discounts in shops and also access to the DVC lounge?

When did you sign your contract? It it was signed before 4/4, then you're grandfathered.

You probably will not get the discount on annual passes, they have to key in the membership number when you activate.

log into your DVC account and go to the discount perks for annual passes and see if the "gold pass" is listed as an option. Before I added my direct purchase, the gold pass wasn't even listed as a choice. So if it is listed there for you, you might have fallen through the cracks.

I agree, if you ever have to key in the member number or MS asks for it, MS always checks the eligibility based on actual dates, so the OP will not get all member perks like the AP discount.

Our welcome letter said we could print proof of membership from the website. There were no mentions of cards.

I even asked at Victoria and Albert's and they told me "No, but always ask, it changes all the time."
