I believe it is Evian and I think I read it comes out to $39 a case which includes the 15% gratuity.

I believe it is Evian....hopefully someone can answer this for you, we've never ordered the case from DCL but brought our own.

We did bring 16 bottles of water packed in our luggage so we could use it for excursions.

We bought the water onboard and it is Evian. We didn't want to waste precious beer space in our soft-sided cooler. :lmao:

We brought our own on board. I'm a huge fan of bottled water, but I've got to tell you that the water on the ship was very good. I was pleasantly surprised. We wound up refilling from the drink station.

Glad it's good on board. I HATE evian!

Is it too much trouble to bring a case on board? We'll be driving to the port so can stop at a store on the way there.

To me, it tastes dirty or oily or something. Something really, really awful that makes me avoid it at all costs. The fact that it costs so much more than other brands makes it even worse.

We fly and still always bring a case of water - $4.00 at Wal-Mart vs $39.00 onboard. We put it in a rolling suitcase. Up until recently we just checked the suitcase with the porters but now we'll have to take it on ourselves, which I'm wiling to do to save $35.00. At the end of the cruise you have an empty suitcase for all those things you bought or- somehow the dirty clothes seem to take up more room than they did when they were clean..... so the suitcase comes in handy.

Ah a wise use of disposable resources! We usually load up our soft sided cooler with bottles, and that becomes ONE of our dirty clothes bags! ;)

So you bring an empty suitcase on the plane with you?

Can you explain? It costs money to check your suitcase with the porters? I'm not understanding. :confused3

We'll be flying to Florida, then renting a car and staying in a condo the week before we cruise, so I plan on stocking up on snacks and water when we get there. Hopefully there will be a WalMart or Costco nearby.

Until recently you could give porters a case of water with your luggage when you got to the port. Then the water would appear at your door with your luggage later in the day. Recent changes require that you carry on any beverages when you board the ship- so the rolling suitcase will have to be taken on with us when we board and will have to stay with us until we can get to our cabin.

Saving $35.00 refers to buying the $4.00 case of water beforehand and bringing it with us as opposed to buying the $39.00 case of water onboard. We buy the water at home an check it (in the suitcase) on the plane with our other luggage - but that may change after May 1st when many of the airlines are imposing a $25.00 charge for any bag after your first. Bringing an empty suitcase and buying the water when you get to FL wouldl work , too.

Hope this clarifies it for you. If not, PM me.

I so agree!! I hate Evian - we call it "French Sewer
Water" :lmao:

Here's another Evian loather. It tastes like boiled water to me.

We'll be buying a case on our way to the parks, where we'll probably drink most of it, but plan to still bring about 6 bottles into our cabin...not too much to carry. Though we prefer Ozarka and I have noooo idea how easy it is to find in Florida.
