Bottled water on DDP????

My parents are coming with us on this trip to see our DD's first WDW experience and to help us out. They are thinking of adding the dining plan if we do - but they don't drink sodas or ice tea, except on the rare occasion. They would want mostly bottled water. Can they get bottled water on the plan (included - not having to pay out of pocket) b.c they don't want tap water.

Yes...bottled water is included for meals and it is also considered a "snack" item as well.

Most CS restaurants allow bottled water as your beverage choice, but at TS restaurants, it's generally not included~I had to pay OOP for bottled water so I usually just went with iced water which was probably tap-but it tasted fine.

FWIW-most bottled water manufacturers use tap water (ie. Aquafina, Dasani, etc) as their water source....

really? That is odd. Maybe it changed? There was one meal we had at Sci Fi and my kids ordered a "special" drink that was not on the plan. Without us even asking, the waiter came over with 2 bottles of water for us to take because he said it was included.

I do have a suggestion though. You can go to Staples wesbite and order cases of water..they will deliver it right to the resort so that it is waiting for you at check in! Very inexpensive...about $8 a case with free delivery!

Don't really know. Same goes for smoothies. There are some restaurants where kids can get smoothies on the DDP. I know one buffet where a good friend works, they don't do smoothies because its a pain for the bartender, and slows down adults from getting their beers/drinks. As for water, the only bottles water they have are pretty large, like 30oz, and cost something like $6.50. They are fine for two adults to split. For whatever reason, they simply don't stock 20oz Dasani's.
