Botox?

OT - I always want to ask people considering or doing botox treatments why they do them.
Are you not happy with you? Is the 'Hollywood' look what you believe is how women should look?

I am not here to criticize but not sure why people do this.
Thank you, I am sure you are beautiful. ☺
The same reason why people might wear makeup, go to the gym, color their hair to cover greys. When I look better, I feel better. I’ve gotten baby Botox and it erases forehead lines and lifts my eyes so I don’t look tired, giving me a boost, and making me feel like myself—my outside matching how I feel inside. I never thought I’d consider it, but I never thought I’d have to physically lift my forehead with my hand to get my contacts in, and underestimated how much older my forehead lines would make me look. I color my grey roots also. I love getting older and am very confident with myself, but I don’t love looking older.

Congrats OP... on the weight loss, and the Upcoming wedding!
I say Go for it. Just use a reputable place, not a botox party or a dr that visits salons or holds gatherings..imho.
Good luck, hope you ll share a Beautiful wedding pix you/bride so we can all ooh and ahhh!

The woman I work with that has had botox had a bad round of it this last time - got the frozen face effect, and she won't do botox ever again. And she looked stupid for 3 months until it wore off :crazy2:

I will disagree with this. While it seems unconventional, many of these Dr.'s and practitioners that do outside "parties" and salon visits are some of the best and most personable. They also understand that making an appointment and coming to an office is uncomfortable for some people and down right impossible to schedule for others. The lady that I go to does parties from time to time as a service to her clients. She also has extended hours during the week as well as Saturday hours because she understands that day time appointments are difficult for many working adults.

Agree with this. As long as the person doing it has had the proper training/licensing, it doesn't matter where it happens. As I said upthread, the doctor who does it at my hair salon is a local area, reputable ENT physician. I've taken my son to him for a blocked ear canal. He now does facial procedures and I don't think it matters where he does them.
