Both water parks open this summer?

Yea did that last week from BWV, turned away by car, took the AK bus later. Got in a bit though so fun to see. They were only allowing hotel guests in that day, or at least that afternoon.
I honestly don't think this was a very well thought out plan on Disney's part.
So now they will turn away any paying guests to put in only "free" guests ??

So they are turning away hotel guests that drive? What time were you there that they turned you away?

Yes the parking lot has a fixed number of spaces. Due to the limited bus service from the resorts requiring your to switch at AK for BB now or DS for TL on May 1st. Many on-site groups drive to the Water Parks. If you plan to arrive by car, plan to be there for the 10 AM open this time of year.

Sounds like a brilliant operational plan

This is great if my flight gets in at 11am and I want to go straight there. Like I said earlier, this is a very shortsighted promotion unless they keep both water parks open.

Yep and the buses have to also wait in the traffic line, unlike regular parks that have their own bus entrances.

Does anyone know anything about parking availability later in the day…say 3pm’sh? Just wondering if it is even worse the last few hours before they close because many are arriving for their first night

Does it specify which one will be open after that? We get there on the 16th.. Hoping for Typhoon actually!

We're there for 2 weeks in August, this is amazing news for us 😃 I haven't been to BB for ages, as only TL been open during our last 4 or 5 trips.

So if they are both open and we have the first day of check-in ticket, do we have to choose only 1, or can we potentially go to both in the same day? Anyone know or able to speculate?

I believe a complimentary ticket is loaded into your account so I imagine you only have access into one
Hmmm...this will be hard to choose then.

Does anyone have any recommendations for which to choose?

I'll be a solo adult, and most of my time at water parks is usually spent in the lazy river. I enjoy up to medium-sized water slides but avoid the extreme. Wave pool is fun but not a must.

I am thinking most likely typhoon lagoon would be the better choice for me, but I have never been to either so don't know for sure.

I prefer the wave pool at BB. You can grab a tube and just bob in the water. I much prefer the decor of TL though.

I prefer Blizzard Beach, the reason being it is so unique!! There is just something so fun about bobbing down the lazy river in the snow!!
You can get a tropical feel at any water park, but BB theming is awesome.
