For reasons I won't bore you with....we have only one day for US/IOA. I read the post on doing both parks in one day and I'm not attempting to hit ever single thing....I'm looking for a good strategy from the experts as to how to approach our day. We have all day...early until closing and we will eat dinner at either place. We love all rides....coasters, simulators, everything.

Any advice would be really helpful...oh I need to add....we've never been to either park.

Thanks!

What time of year are you going, and Im guessing you wont be staying on-site for Front of the line access?

We typically jump from Disney over to Universal for one day and hit both parks. We keep it to the rides we are most interetsed in or want to do more than one time. Several "cant miss rides" are Spiderman at IOA and the Mummy at Universal. The Hulk (at IOA) is another good coaster.

We will usually spend the morning at Unioversal and hit IOA in the afternoon until the park closes. If you get there right when it opens you can usally hit a couple rides quick without much wait.

Be careful on your travel dates though. Weekends tend to be very busy as well as holidays (when schools tend to visit).

spiderman is my first one every time and eh mummy i suppose but just cause its a different type of coaster.

in universal jaws was the fav but seeing as its seasonal (i think) shrek wins the prize, its the first thing inside the gate and i never tire of donkey !

We are going in March....the week BEFORE Easter....arrriving Friday night late and we will be there until Easter Sunday when we fly home....and yes we aren't staying on site....but I would consider leaving the my hotel on Saturday and checking in at one of the Universal hotels for that access if you think it is worth it....or doing it on the very first night.

We have never been to Universal and both of my kids are so totally looking forward to it....we just came back from Busch Gardens Williamsburg...Europe I mean and they LOVED all the coaters and the simulation rides...Cork Screw Hill and Curse of the Dar Kastle.

We are going when some school will be out....I am taking the kids out of school for three days...they have Holy Thursday and Good Friday off already. We have been to WDW several times and I have tried to convince them and my DH that we should do two days at US/IOA but they are so "scared" to give up one more day at Disney....I know they are going to love it though. AND, we will be there for 8 full days...so if they give up two....they have six days at the WDW parks. They have been to WDW four times, but we dont go every year, so they look forward to it.. they are 13 and 17 or ...they will be when we go.
