Both parks in one day during January?

Wondered if it was possible to get through both parks in one day during January, or whether it would be just too hard. We are a family of four, with kids 9 and 11, who are used to DLR commando style.

I did it. Waits were pretty decent. Just make sure you're there when they open.

Hit IOA at opening (specifically the Marvel rides), skip the water rides because it's too cold anyway, and should be doable. Might want to skip a couple of minor rides, e.g. Storm Force Accelator or Twister, but can probably hit all the E-tickets.

i have done it all in one day by doing like jason stated.
took 2 kids and did the highlights.
we skipped the minor rides, water rides and shows at IOA.

did both parks but took in T2 and horror make up show.

we started at ioa at the gate at 8:30 and was let in early that day.
this helped a lot.
covered the main rides there of hullk, doom, spidey repeat times before 9.

I do both parks all the time. I call those trips "crusades."

We go up in the morning and come back at night.
