Both Bakeries closed! how rude

not only will Main St Bakery be closed jan 2013 to summer 2013, but so will the Boardwalk Bakery, from 01/02/13 - 04/12/13. Not Happy Disney, Not happy!

What are they doing with the Boardwalk Bakery? Hopefully expanding it, it's so small. BW really needs expanded counter service.

I heard (not from a bus driver), that they were expanding it and putting a self-serve beverage station.

It def needs to get an expansion. Too small the way it is right now, but the food is delicious! Guess I will check out the new bakery for our June trip and the new Main St for our August trip

oh this would also make me use the dinning plan again.

no self-serve beverage is a big pain at bwv - you either have to ask the bar at the pool or the bakery. this should have done along time ago.

of course still looking for something inside BWV.... hate staying here during those rainy days in florida

So what will they do for us staying at BW at that time for counter service? Anything? My first time to stay at BW since 2002 will not be a pleasant one if I can't run down to get a snack...

I guess I will go to the Screen Door for stuff....

isn't there a bakery over at the dolphin or swan - dvc members get a 20% discount there - so might be worth the extra walk.

now if you are using snack - might go to Epcot there in one in france - but yea with WS not opening until 11am - a little to late for breakfast.

forgot there is a limit menu - Belle Vue Lounge and better yet it is inside BWI

There is a confectionery that I think has bakery items, too, in the new Dumbo's circus tent/gift shop place.

I too was counting on the BW bakery for my Jan trip.

I'm sure they will set up something else that sells breakfast to go stuff while it's closed. Maybe I'll make a breakfast Kouzzina ADR now....

I'm so bummed out over this! We too, were counting on the bakery for our trip in Feb. This will be our first time staying at BWV and the bakery was one of the perks since there is no counter service. I guess we'll be bringing food for the room or ordering it for delivery. We were planning on getting breakfast there most mornings

Maybe the Pizza Window will have some sandwiches, or they'll put some baked goods into the the candy store? It would be a shame (or a blessing LOL) to not have someplace to pick up spur of the moment goodies!!

They currently have some breakfast items in the Bellevue Lounge on the second floor by the lobby. They may expand that during the closure.

We eat breakfast at Kouzzina a lot, and it is delicious!!
