I've driven to Disney twice this year. What works for me is stopping at Florence, SC. I spend the night, and start out early the next day, and it's an 8 hour or less drive to Disney. The last two times I drove down, I left at 6 am from Lowell, and arrived at SC at 10 p.m. Next morning, I started out at 7a.m. and arrived at Disney at 2:30. There is also an alternate route that bypasses Hartford, NYC, Washington, and Richmond, the big traffic tie-ups. It's Mass Pike to 84 S to 81 S to 77 S to 26 to 95. route 26 crosses over to 95 in Georgia. On this route, you're only on 95 a short while before Route 4 to Disney. By the way, all the exit numbers on Route 4 have been renumbered, the old exit numbers are in small print on the signs. Have a fun trip.
