Boston Opera House - Need help with seating question!

Hi everyone, I know there are a lot of New England DISers here, so I'm hoping someone can help me.

I want to buy tickets to see Wicked this fall, and it's showing me this as being the "Best Available" seats. Notice where it says "Warning, Limited View". Can you tell me exactly what that means? Thanks!

It means that you wont be able to see the full stage. you seats are probably all the way over to the side near the wall and you wont be able to see that side of the stage. I would try to different seats if you can because I paid the same price for the sept 26 show and I have 2nd row dress...I cant see paying that much for partial viewing....


I looked to see if there were any other seats available on that sat but looks like they are sold out.....

maybe try another day?

I saw Wicked before in that theater but I can't remember. I was on the floor to the right a bit and they were fine, it was through a travel agency.

I purchased my tickets last summer for the October 7th showing.

Where do you live.? This same travel agency has tickets for the same day. Why not call and see if you can purchase just the tickets from them? They usually have good seats or better yet, take the motorcoach. No gas, no parking in Boston and a relaxing day.

I decided to surprise dd and go again this year (she wanted NYC but I wasn't paying for that!!), I ended up with center orchestra, row E seats...cost a fortune, about $150 each, but it's a special day. We'll be there on Oct 7, evening show.
But, it would look like someone is heading to see 'Wicked' on Sat and the a duck tour and brunch the next day????!!!!

yes, that's my plan! LOL So do you think we'd be hugely disappointed in those seats?? I mean, they actually give you a warning about them. LOL I just wish I knew exactly how limited the view was. We saw Les Mis there last year but were up in the mezzanine section, and I don't remember noticing any seats down in the orchestra section that were way out of range on the sides.

It could also be the set or lighting that blocks the stage, you can call the opera house to find out...maybe someone there can help you out...

one year we went to the fleet center to see stars on ice and when we sat down we noticed that our view was blocked by about 12 inches of bundled cables hanging in front of us. We were about to complain when someone came down and told us we could move to another section and we ended up 2 feet from the ice next to the sound guy.. being a theatre nut, I talked to him and got to meet brian botiano!

Thanks! I just called but they're not open until Monday morning. I am wondering what kind of seats/tickets they have for this?? Were you given a choice of which seats you wanted?? Again, thanks

not given a choice but I have used them for tickets before for different plays and they have all been very good. But then again they are purchasing a group of tickets - they must get a deal because they are repeat customers. I have only gone on the bus, not sure if they would sell you just the tickets.
