Boston MLS stadium thread. Would any Massachusetts non soccer fan consider going to matches at least once if the stadium is built? Do any casual soccer fans care about this?
Where should the NE Revolution build a soccer stadium in the Boston area in your opinion realistically? No. Frankly, as resident of Everett, the last thing this area needs is something like this to make an even bigger mess of traffic. I fervently hope this is never built.

Well... I think they should build it in Foxboro where the practice stadium is.Where should the NE Revolution build a soccer stadium in the Boston area in your opinion realistically?
They could eliminate the traffic problem if they are just banned from building parking spots at this site. Besides most of those fans are too sloshed to drive after a game anyway.No. Frankly, as resident of Everett, the last thing this area needs is something like this to make an even bigger mess of traffic. Where would the parking go? It could work if there were shuttles or a sort of monorail to parking that gets a discount with tickets in a different town to spread the wealth & tax proceeds so there would be an uptick in entertainment spending in two towns, maybe Malden? Could work with careful planning and bring a lot of money North of the City. They could eliminate the traffic problem if they are just banned from building parking spots at this site. If you don't have any parking it will eliminate the traffic problem. You could still access the stadium via other transportation modes.Where would the parking go? There is the Silver Line which is an airport dedicated means of transportation so there is a precedent.
So you believe they can build a giant sports stadium and people simply won't drive if a parking lot isn't built with it?If you don't have any parking it will eliminate the traffic problem. You could still access the stadium via other transportation modes.
None of the stadiums in Seattle have large parking lots. The land is too valuable to be used as parking. They do have some but you need to make reservations and get on a multi year waiting list to use it. The transit options are excellent and that is how most people get to the games. So you believe they can build a giant sports stadium and people simply won't drive if a parking lot isn't built with it?
Can't say I believe that will be the way it would turn out. I suspect it will make a snarled mess and parking there will go through the roof as wealthy ticket holders buy spots from homeowners who will then move their cars into the streets, spot hero and such would take over and residents would probably end up squeezed. The only thing humans can always be counted on to do is to find an exploit of some kind so they get their way.
Seattle has a much different regional personality than Boston, hope is nice but dunno if I'd hang an establishment on it ...None of the stadiums in Seattle have large parking lots. You forgot the best video that depicts Seattle personality to a T. This is from Portlandia but it fits for Seattle as well...Seattle has a much different regional personality than Boston, hope is nice but dunno if I'd hang an establishment on it ...

There are lots of yuppies as well but the born and raised are everywhere and I totally love them, lets call it an infused population. IF I find myself sitting near a bunch of workers I always linger to hear them talk amongst themselves, it is a unique perspective I find enjoyable.LOL Those were perfect. Is that really accurate of Boston nowdays? Isn't South Boston filled with million dollar homes now days?
