Hi All:)

In process of planning 2010 summer hols (no disney this time) We're considering Boston and the Cape Cod or going to Washington DC and Williamsburg/Virginia Beach.

Has anyone been and would recommend either as a good summer destination.
We are a family of 4 (2 dd's - 16 & 13).

Any other ideas gratefully received................:goodvibes

We're doing Boston/New England for 6 nights this trip. I considered doing Washington DC aswell but it felt like too much since we're going to New York and WDW too so will save it for a future trip :) We're planning on a couple of days in Boston, a day in Salem, one in Hyannis (Cape Cod) to go on a whale watching cruise and one in Portland (Maine) I don't mind the driving a couple of hours each way for a day trip but I know some would prefer to travel round and stay in hotels in the different places. I'll know more when we've actually been *lol* but just sharing our plans for now :)

Can't answer for the other destinations, but would highly recommend Boston, it's my favourite US city of all those we've visited over the years.

There's just something really special and eclectic about it; something for everyone.

What a fab trip you're planning:banana:

We looked into Boston and the surrounding area, it looked great. But we found prices to be very high.

I think both places would be great to visit.
