I just borrowed form our library the Bose speaker system with cd player and looked on Bose.com and it costs 499.00 to buy it anyone one it and Love it like I do?? Anyone know of anywhere I can get a deal??Ebay has it but I am afrtaid to buy it there.......

I'm not sure which system you mean, but I have both the Wave Radio and the newest cd system, and I love LOVE them both. They have excellent sound. I did buy from Bose, I have never seen them discounted and I also was chicken to buy on Ebay but there were several sellers who had sold a number of them who had very good feedback. One thing I didn't like about my newest system is that the unit itself has no controls so you have to have the remote or you can't use it. I bought a second remote just in case; it was only about $10 and free shipping. Good luck!

I JUST bought this 2 weeks ago after wanting one for over a year! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Really, I can't say enough about it! I got it for 365.00 because in the store I work in they have a Bose store also <they rent space from my employer> and once a year they give the store employee's a discount before X-mas!
I would've paid 499.00 for it though!

I believe QVC sells Bose as well. You may want to check their web site.

what's so big about Bose ?? what makes it better than another stereo ?? :confused3

top of the line for sound quality. We don't have those small radios, but we do have the small speakers for surround sound. I think hubby spent somewhere around $1400 for those babies. While I didn't like forking over the money.......it actually sounds better at home watching movies than at the theater.

It is the system with the cd and radio in it..Small square with remote control..I love it and do not want to give it back to the library...went on bose.com and it is 499.00 whish I could get it for cheaper..My aunt says at the bose outlet they have it for around 250 but it is a ways from us.....thanks for all of the help..

There is a Bose outlet in Foley, AL close to where we live. I was there last week looking at the radios. They did have a few factory refurbished wave radios for $199 (regular price $299).I think this is the first model. I think they come with the same warranty as a new one. You might give them a call and they might allow you to purchase over the phone and ship it to you. There # is 251-943-5300.

We just bought one from a factory outlet about two weeks ago. We bought the radio w/cd player (one cd) but want to get the multi-cd changer to add to it later. It was $450 at the factory outlet because it was one that had been sent to North Carolina to be - they don't call it refurbished - they call it something else but I can't remember the word. They said they do this to the ones that have been shipped to stores and the boxes have been damaged but the system has not been damaged. Because the box has been damaged, they said they do an inspection by a computer and then an inspection by a human and make sure it's all working fine and that nothing is wrong with it and then they send it to their outlets to sell. We were told they are just as good as "new" ones. We love it. We don't watch a lot of tv because we don't have cable and there's not much on tv that we like so we listen to our cd's and the radio most of the time. It's SO enjoyable. We got this for ourselves as our Christmas gift.

I have them along with two wave radios. They are all great quality and worth the money. The headphones really do cancel out all other noises and are so comfortable you forget they are on.
With Bose I feel you get what you pay for. Superior quality!!!!

If you are buying them purely for headphones, you can find better, cheaper, options. They do get pretty good reviews from folks who use them on airplanes, however, since they are apparently very good at canceling airplane noise.

When driving to FL in June, we went to a Bose *outlet* and it was 100.00 cheaper then the stores and they were refurbished. Came with the same warranty etc., though. This was for the CD ones.

Do some reseach. I wound up buying a brand called Solitude for aroun $150. I have tried the Bose and the difference was not great on the plane and certainly not worth $150! I do only use mine when I travel so your experience may be different.
That said I LOVE having noise cancelling headphones on a plane!
