I have an August use year. Can I borrow 2010 points for a trip in 6-2009? or do I have to travel after 8/2009 to use the 2010 points? Thanks!

No, June '09 would fall in your '08 Use Year (8/1/08 - 7/31/09). If your UY is August then each year's points are good from 8/1 of that year until 7/31 of the following year. You can borrow your '10 points for stays from 8/1/09 - 7/31/10.
