Borrowing points

Sorry probably a stupid question. Im planning on taking my grandparents to WDW. Can I only borrow points from my next year? or can i go two in advance?

bank one year forward and borrow one year ahead. that's all.

and you cannot undo either move. once you move the pts, that's where they stay.

(but that's assuming you understand use year. if i have an oct UY and i call today to book a november 2014 stay, i am using current 2014 UY pts and would still have access to borrowed 2015 UY pts. but i am still only borrowing one UY ahead.)

sure, you can try to look for a transfer. DVC members are only allowed one transfer per UY, so it can sometimes be difficult to find someone willing to transfer pts to you. just make sure the UY of the transferred pts you receive works for the reservation you are trying to make. (if you are booking 8-11 months in advance, you also need a transfer with the correct home resort.)

Just to clarify on borrowing. If you intend to go before June 2014, you will be able to use your June 2013 points and borrow from June 2014 year. If you intend to go during or after June 2014, you will be able bank June 2013 points for that trip, use June 2014, and borrow June 2015 points.
