Borrowing points question

Quick question. I'm trying to figure out how to manage points..I have a Dec UY. So, If I make a reservation in 2011 at 11 months out for a stay in Sept 2012 will I be able to borrow points from my 2012 UY? Thanks, banking and borrowing points confuses me

A Sept 2012 trip falls in your Dec 2011 UY. So you could use banked 2010 points, current 2011 points and borrowed 2012 points.

December is always more confusing because everyone else is getting the next year's points and you just got the current year points. You have to think of your annual calendar starting in Dec instead of Jan.
