Borrowing Points Question

Hello all,

We are waiting on our first DVC purchase, a 100-point BCV resale, expected to close in January. This is a 'stripped' contract with an April use year - we get no '08 points, only one '09 point and all 100 points on Apr 1, 2010. We want to borrow from the 2010 points for a few days at BCV in Dec 2009. Can we borrow from 2010 and make this reservation upon closing in January or do we have to wait until the beginning of our use year, Apr 1, 2009, to borrow from 2010?

Presuming that you are in the system in January, 2009, you can go ahead and book the December, 2009 vacation in January and MS will borrow the points needed for this vacation from your 2010 Use Year. MS will only borrow the points needed for your vacation.
