Borrowing points (more then one UY)

I probably already know the answer to this but I'm going to ask anyway.

I have 82 points left for 2011

I have 160 points for 2012

If I make a reservation that is more then those points (242) can I borrow points from 2013?

This reservation would be for Sept of next year.

My thinking is no..

A September, 2011 reservation falls within your 2011 use year (2/1/11 - 1/31/2012).

For that reservation you could use 2011 use year points (which are the current use year points for that reservation), banked points originally from your 2010 use year (if you had any) and you may borrow points from your 2012 use year.

You may not use points from your 2013 use year (2/1/13 - 1/31/2014) for that reservation.

You can buy up to 24 one time use points from Disney to complete the reservation, but those points can only be used after the 7 month window opens.

Sorry I misread your first post, no matter what your use year is, you can not use 2013 points for a reservation in 2011.

You can have points transferred to you from another DVC member too ( you may have a transfer of points either into or out of your account once each Use Year ). Just be sure that transferred points will be valid during dates of your trip.
