Borrowing next year's points after banking this year's

I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't seem to find the key search words that will take me to this question...

I know that once points are banked they are banked. But once you have banked everything to the next year, can you borrow next year's points if you decide to take a last minute trip this year?

Yes, you can borrow next year's points after you've banked this year's points and want to take a trip. We've done it. Have fun!

I just did it. I already banked my leftover April 2008 points but just decided to make a reservation for this December at DL. So I had to borrow 2009.

No you can't. You can borrow next years regular points into this year and use this years banked points for next year.
