Wasn't sure how to title this thread. I borrowed points for a ressie. due to several issues it looks like we may not be able to go. I know since i borrowed them from Feb 2012 use year they cannot go back & will have to be used by 1/31/12 right??

So since I am more than 30 days out can I cancel my ressie, rent out the points and make another ressie for the renter as long as it is by 1/31/12?

Also, how do you know if you have had 50+ posts in the last 6 mos. I read alot here & have been a long time member but I have no idea how many posts I've actually posted in the last 6 mos.

Any help will be appreciated!!!!!!

Yes, that is correct.

Yes. When you cancel more than 30 days prior to arrival, the points go back into your account with the same status they had just prior to making the now-cancelled reservation. In your case, the points were borrowed, can't be put back into their original use year and thus expire at the end of your use year, 1/31/2012.

Click on your screen name (left side of your post) and then select "Find More Posts By TiffJ. Once the list comes up, you'll have to count. :) Remember that the posts should be distributed fairly evenly over the past 6 months to qualify to offer your points on the DIS Rent/Trade Board. If you don't qualify, the DIS does offer a paid option. Details for that are here.
