Hi All,

I have a simple question... I have 100 pts (2011) that i need to bank to use in December of 2012. I have 220 points coming in March 2012 that i will also use in December 2012. I want to transfer the 100 points into the 220 account for a total of 320 points to be used in December 2012. Which is easier? Bank the 100 pts now and then transfer later or transfer before banking and then bank later. I know the points that are transferred retain their original UY and need to be banked at the appropriate time, so that part i understand. I just don't know if you can transfer banked points or if you need to transfer first and then bank. Thanks, I appreciate it.

I am a little confused, can't you just use the 100 and borrow from the 220. Or bank them and borrow them all?
I have never heard of transfering points.

You can not transfer banked points, but points transferred in can be banked.

you can also borrow pts from 2013 if you need them.

I want to transfer the 100 points into the 220 account for a total of 320 points to be used in December 2012.

if the pts are coming from a separate membership number, you would transfer them now and then bank them (depending on the use year).

Do you have two seperate member numbers, or are these both under the same account and use year? If they are the same account and use year, there is no need for any transfer, since you would only use banked, current or borrowed points. If they are two separate memberships, then you would need to transfer first and bank later. Transfered points CAN be banked, but banked points can NOT be transfered.

Ok that is what i needed to know. They are in different contracts so if i transfer the 100 points into the 220 points account then i can use them as set of 320 points but if i try to use them as 220 and 100 then that will make the reservations much more complicated. So transfer then bank it is... Thanks to all those who responded, it is appreciated. :hippie:

are they the same resort? If not remember the 100 transferred points retain their own resort so you can only book at 11 months for each resort. If they are the same resort then transferring and banking is the way to go.
