Borrow Banked Points Back - is this possible?

I tried searching the boards, maybe I was not searching the correct language, but did not seem to find an answer.

We booked our remaining points into next year not planning to take a vacation until Fall - but now we are throwing around the idea of a long weekend in May. Can I borrow points "back?" Does it have to include those banked points or would it be any of the points?

I hope I am explaining and asking correctly.

Appreciate the feedback as we are still "DVC Newbies" I would say.

If you borrow points from your next UY, you can't borrow any that were banked into that UY.

Banking and borrowing are final transactions and each point can only banked or borrowed once.

If you call MS to bank your points, before they bank them, they always tell the member that this is a final action and do you want to go through with it. And if you bank online, you get a similar message.

If you borrow points from your next UY, you can't borrow any that were banked into that UY.

This is correct but what you can do is actually borrow points - ie, current points from the next UY. So if it was 2013 points that you banked into your 2014 UY you can't borrow back the 2013 points but you can borrow any 2014 points that you have available back into your 2013 UY. That would be a final transaction and if you ended up not using them they would expire at the end of your 2013 UY. And the 2013 points that you already banked into 2014 will expire at the end of the 2014 UY if not used.

Yes, I have done that when I had a late booking after the borrowing deadline. So the only real issue becomes those banked points have to be used next year, they can't be rolled forward to 2015!
