Borrow and Borrow again

Can you borrow points from successive years? For example, for this summer 2013 I borrow points from my 2014 UY. This makes me short in looking at a vacation in 2014. I then borrow more points from my 2015 UY for the 2014 vacation.

I know that will make me very limited for 2015 UY but it will allow me to add vacations in 2013 and 2014 and then skip vacation in 2015?

Yes you can be in a permanent state of using borrowed points, which at some point leads to the desire to addon more points.

Yep....
I live on borrowed points! Wish I was really wealthy - I'd buy another 300 points (almost tripling my current 160) and I'm sure I'd blow through those too!
I currently have 9 points left for 2014 (I do, however, have an awesome 9 day stay already locked up for us and our friends in 2 value studios at AKL). In October, I'll be able to borrow into 2015, lol.

I too have adopted the method of always borrowing - to me it avoides the possibility of loosing points because I forgot to bank!

I wish I could let myself go into borrow mode.

But I know if I did it once, it'd be all over and I would always be into the next year. Slippery slope.

I know nothing of this thing you call 'banking'....what a silly thing to do. Why, I could be killed in a nasty blimp accident tomorrow!!!
I am always into the next years points. I have about half my '14 points left. Using them for a stay in Sept and then again in Dec.

Lol, we have 810 points and we are still completely borrowed out.

I hope to be at that point sometime. Then I will try to get my DH to add-on!so far, we have done the opposite and bank points. Then
we didn't go in 2012 so actually had some points left over even after banking! This year, 2013 I am making sure we use all of our points so there won't be a chance of that happening again.

We have an Aug. UY and only have 48 2013 points left. But we still do have a 7 night trip in July with our 4 "kids" planed,and another 2nd week of dec. 5 night trip !!!

Yup, I am proof of that!

Started with 150 10 years ago.
Borrowed a few years straight.
Added on 70.
Still borrowed.
Added 180.
Still borrowed.
Added 60.
Yup, still borrowed.
Just added another 150, waiting for it to close.
AND I'm still trolling the reseller's sites for another one!!!!
Keep hoping the day will come where I can actually BANK a point or two!!!

In 12 years, we've never banked a single point! Right now, we've used all but 2 2014 points, but we have two more trips booked for this year, May with our grandkids in a 2BR SV and October at BWV for me, DD and other DGD. We're considering another contract but weighing the cost of transferring points when needed against yearly MF and the possibility that we might not go as frequently in a few years--and that DD is considering buying her own points!

If you have the points to borrow, yes. You are only limited in the number of points you have, not how many times.

I too live on borrowed points. Aug use year. This year not as bad as others yet - Dec 2013 7 nts studio VWL actually uses my 2013 points - however my Feb. 2014 trip will be done on borrowed 2014 points which I will get in Aug 2014.

I keep trying to convince my husband to add on - but since he rarely comes to Disney - use it for trips for myself with our children and grandkids or this year a girls only trip with a group of friends, no husbands no kids. We did this a few years ago for F&W - had a blast.


I'll keep working on my husband - because I don't think I'll ever be cured of add-on-itis
