Hi Everyone!
Believe it or not, I just found this thread. Where have I been??? I guess it's because I don't check out the community board at all. I've read through some of the beginning and various other spots of the thread and found many interesting posts. I grew up in a Catholic home and moved away from the church in my late teens, rebelling to a point, and just being totally lost in the world. I moved in with my boyfriend in 1991...and we had our ds in 1993. We were very lost in the world and on drugs and alcohol. God moved our family to an apartment in 1996 that "just happened to be" in between 2 churches...hehe...and then at the age of 4, our son took us to the Methodist church across the street, and God simply amazed us that day and gave us a desire to return there each chance we could. To make a long story short, I accepted Christ as my Saviour in January 1997, and He led my boyfriend at the time and me to get married that May. I am thankful for my upbringing because I learned some about Jesus, but I am also thankful that I've learned about God's grace and mercy, which has brought us a long way in the past 8 years. I had some serious issues that God took me through and allowed me to forgive others. I have not had a desire for drugs or alcohol since Jesus filled my emptiness, and I am now something I never, in my wildest dreams thought I'd be...a pastor's wife!
Oh, what a sense of humor God has at times

Hello to everyone else. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I'm a bit more sore today than I have been since the accident and can't seem to get rid of the shakes. We are grateful for all your thoughts and prayers!
So happy for you and your DH Elisabeth!
