Boredom Busters for Rainy Days

The kids are bored. I am bored. Is anyone else home for a snow day when it isn't snowing, just raining? What do you do to keep your sanity. We've pulled out the craft box, we've made valentines. They even went out to sled in the rain. (I opted out of THAT fun.)

What do you do on days like this? Share your boredom busters!

I agree with nkjzmom...Some of my best memories from childhood are playing board games with my parents.

You could cook with them, or make things for Easter. It won't be for another couple of months, but you can get things started so that you aren't stressed at the end.

I love making projects and decorations with my son and he looks forward to it.

Organize pictures and put in albums

Watch our vacation video. Of course we watch that just about every night anyway LOL

Make cupcakes or cookies (once the weather breaks we can run around outside and run off those winter pounds LOL)

I go with the board games or in indoor game for that matter.

You are only limited by your imagination. Perhaps ask your DS if he has a favourite game he'd like to play.

Have a story telling session or play a form of guess who. One of you thinks of a character, be it a real person, cartoon character or whaever. The other person then has to ask some questions to try to figure out who you are. Can be quite fun

I like these ideas. They do love board games. I wouldn't have thought of cupcakes or the guessing game. Cupcakes always seem like such a party treat...it would be fun to do something unexpected like that. And if I did get a start on upcoming holidays, we might actually get things decorated in a timely manner, instead of the night before!
