DH and I watched "Borat" last night. All I can say is, "Huh?" I thought that was the most ******** and unfunny waste of film I've had the misfortune to see in a long time. There was one scene I thought was funny (when he hangs out with the "homeys" and tries to be black), but the rest ranged from boring to embarassing. You can bet there will be a "Borat 2" since I think it did pretty well at the box office, which says a lot about our pop culture
Anybody else seen it? What did you think?

******** .... I didn't even notice I had used that since it's a word I often use to describe inanity. Yes, very appropriate to describe this movie. And I usually like stupid, sophmoric movies like this. "Borat" was just vulgar, imho.
I was in total shock at a few things, but still found Borat funny (and sad at the people around him at the same time, since it was a thinly veiled expose on how racist/homophobic people are when they think nobody important is watching). I'd watch it again, but might have to fast forward through one scene in particular. If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about.
Not sure what I've done to deserve that. Thanks for your input.
