Boots have an offer on !!

Having just got back from Orlando and over 200 digital images to process, i came across an offer that Boots the chemist currently have.

They will produce a 6x4 photo from your smart media card for 10-pence each. I had 212 images and it cost me £21 !!

(BTW the quality was excellent, and i had my camera set to "basic" image).

You can not select the images from the smart media card they will process all of them, so you will need to delete off the ones you dont want prior to going to Boots.

The offer ends mid September.

Andy,Allison Thats a really good offer It would ost you more at home in ink and photo paper plus they do all the messing around too!
Ive never heard of this is it something they do all the time?If so do you know how much it is normally?

One thing I will do is upload all the photos to my PC first - just in case the Boots card reader decides to erase all my holiday snaps

They copy your memory stick rather than keep it - at least that's what our branch does.

I agree, the quality of all the prints we've had done in Boots is very good and the service very quick.

They seem to often have a £5 for 50 6x4, then 15p per print after that.

Always, always, always do this.... Jessops killed my memory card, fortunatly I had a copy on my pc or I would have been devastated. They were just trying to read the card to make a copy (they don't keep the card), and it kept coming up as 'unreadable' even though I had been using it in my camera only minutes before. When they gave up and gave it back to me, the camera couldn't read it either, or the pc. Fortunatly I had a copy of all the pics on my pc, so I could put them on a cd and get them printed, or I would have been devastated.

Yes it was at Boots Fosse Park, Leicester.

Yes they upload your images to their system and give you back your media card straight the way.

I downloaded them to my PC prior, and checked which ones i wanted to process so i could delete the naff ones from the media card.

The specific deal Boots have is 50 photos for £5 (i.e 10 pence each), but i was charged the same rate for all of my photos on 2 seperate media cards.

I beleive their normal price is 15 pence per photo - still cheaper than the conventional 35mm film, or even printing them out yourself.
