Would like to take my booster seat with for my 7 year old otherwise Alamo will charge $9.99 a day for the seat. Can you bring a booster seat on Southwest Airlines flight and does it count as a carry-on?

We find it's easiest to check the car seat. When checking your baggage with Southwest, they usually have large plastic bags to put your car seat in. Then they will tag it just like your luggage. We've done this multiple times & have never had a problem.

I also say check the car seat.

We took DD's booster when she was 7 and checked it - we were on Southwest. They did not even count it as a piece of luggage and they did bag it for us.

if its a backless then you prob can carry it on if it has a back then it may be too big. i'd just check it they dont count it as baggage

I've never done this but I'm taking my son's with me on the plane. It isn't the back one and it is very light to carry. I'm hoping when I get to POR the room will be ready and we can just drop it off there before heading out for the day.
