Booooo! still no November hours

Well, I broke down and just called dining to make ADR's for dinner at Ohana's on 11/30. The CM had a lot of times avail...I took the latest 7:00pm. It actually feels good to just forget the hours. I asked her when the November hours were going to come out and she said soon...she told me that on that particular night, MK will probably close at 7:00pm and she highly doubts that the park will stay open late that night. I know that we should not take the CM's word as gold, but she is probably right. She told me that if MK does close at 7:00pm and that we want to see Wishes, just to check-in early at Ohana's to ask to get a view of the Castle or to ask if we can go out to watch Wishes and come back to get a table. She was really nice and VERY understanding about the frustrations we all have concerning the November hours release. I am just really trying to be patient, I do feel better now that I just booked my ADR for that night. I can breathe now.

I am still waiting though....:bored:

I wonder if they are holding off posting hours because they are waiting to see how much travel is effected by gas supply post Katrina, etc.... whatever the reason...our trip is less than 8 weeks away and still no hours....I am getting pretty cranky with the wait!!

There cannot be a two week wait for these hours. Someone posted earlier, and I thought it was an excellent guess, that Disney is waiting to see what the crowd numbers are after Free Dining ends on Oct. 4. But, I would think, even by now, that they should have a good grip on those November numbers.

Disney can always increase the hours or add Spectromagic on a night it wasn't originally scheduled. So, I think their best bet is just to post hours, liberally, and then if crowd levels suggest that more people will be there than they figured, they can at that time extend the hours.

I just can't figure out why the huge delay in posting hours this time. I'll be there at the end of F&W and Soaps weekend. I'd really like to know those hours because we only have 3 days in the parks this trip and I want to make the most of it!

What do you mean "free dining ends in 2 weeks"? Are you referring to the Disney Dining option? I thought that sinceit was so popular it had been extended through next year?
We have that option with our vacation...Nov 12th through the 18th. We have the following table service meals scheduled with it: Breakfast at Cinderellas Royal Table, Breakfast at Donalds Breakfastasaurus, 50's Primetime Cafe, Biergarten, Sci-Fi Dine In, Breakfast at Akershus with princesses, and Chef Mickeys.

Have a great day and with any luck we'll get some hours later!

Kennezgirl - the "free" dining option is NOT offered all year. It was just offered for a little while. I believe what you are talking about is the Disney Dining Plan, which is really the same thing as the "free" dining plan option, BUT you will be paying for it - $35/pp/day and $10/per child/day. We have this same option added on to our November trip, but we have to pay for it since our trip does not fall under the free dining promotion schedule. Bummer, I know!

I don't even want to think they are waiting b/c of crowd levels. What does that mean for us? Toooooo busy. thats what it means.

kennezfirl, free dining was offered through Oct 4th with a min stay. FREE, not the option to add to your package. It is a new thing they were trying.

I did my adr's and figured I would finagle if need be. Not worth waiting. To hard to get what you want if you wait.

Patience is not my strong suit... :rolleyes1

OK, latest update from Disney, and kudos to this customer service person for honesty! It's refreshing to have someone NOT blow smoke up one's fanny for a change.

Dear KC,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

We do not know why there is a delay but we do expect them very soon. We are waiting and as soon as they become available they will be released to the web site.

We appreciate your understanding.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Why cant they just post them already... if they need to adjust them later ( and they ALWAYS change a little) they can do that. its stupid to hold out.. JUST POST THEM ALREADY!

Maybe we should all just threaten to cancel our ressies since we have no Nov hours to plan with!!! Maybe that would get them moving!!!!

OK So I won't even think of doing that. But there must be some way to get them to shake loose with these hours. This is getting to be just a bit ridiculous. I am only 54 days out and have no idea what to expect. The historical hours have changed so much for the other months that I hate to plan on them. So.........I guess I sit and wait like everyone else :rolleyes1

Maybe we could all sign an online petition, and then forward to management...drafting now...pleeze hold. :hourglass

Hmmm...I got a different letter today from Disney:

Dear Duckfan,
I have the hours right in front of me. I was going to put them up yesterday, but we were having so much fun at the Limbo/Fiesta party, that I didn't have a chance. I'm a bit hung-over at the moment, so today isn't looking good either. I would thank you for your time and patience, but a group of us actually laughing about this right now in the office, because you really have no choice. If it makes you feel any better, all this laughing is making my head hurt.

Don't call us, we'll call you,
Disney, Inc.

It's 9/8...and no hours for Nov??? Maybe the person responsible for the web site is on vaca'n w/ no back up?? :confused3 I've seen them add add'l Spectro's and hours the week before my travel date as crowd levels were higher than anticipated...but this waiting is killlllling me. I'm waiting for my new UG book...and this. Enough already :rotfl:

C'mon already. And I need December too... :rotfl2:
