Booking with Expedia? Experiences with?

Looking to make a quick trip to Aruba ...found a good price on Expedia. What have your experiences with Expedia been? Thanks

I have not had any problems with Expedia. I have booked hotels only, airfare only and packages, and never any problems.

I do think with the packages, Expedia books a block of rooms and does not forward your personal information to the hotel until about a week prior. So if you have special requests and try to call the hotel, they may not have a specific reservation for you until just prior to your trip.

I would recommend Expedia and Orbitz. My husband I book hotels and tickets with them often.

I have used Expedia and they have been great. I would say go for it!

We booked a cruise with Expedia and it was wonderful. Great perks were included and we had no problems at all. We found them to be courteous and helpful and most importantly, the price was right!

We will be booking another cruise for February!

WELL.................. not to alarm you but..............

my parents had a pretty bad experience. They booked a hotel room in Barcelona through Expedia when they went to visit my brother. Mom had never booked online before, but was nervous about booking direct because of the language barrier. She researched alot and picked a hotel that was right near where my brother was living when studying abroad.

So they get there.... no room available. Apparently Expedia has something written somewhere that if they overbook then they can put you up in a comparable hotel? So they were moved to a hotel that was WAAAAAAAYYYYY on the other side of Barcelona; comparable hotel but not location. Since my parents speak little spanish, they didnt really know what else to do but go.

They stayed one night and ended up having to find other accomodations.

It was a bad situation all around.

But my brother has used them often for single plane tickets and had no problems.
