Booking with DVC or waiting for pin code?

For the GCH next December, would I be better off booking a room in the GCV by renting points earlier on in the year or waiting around to see if I get a good pin code, which I hear may not come out until June 2013? TIA (thanks in advance)!

Depends. Just note that if you wait for a pin code and one doesn't occur, you will have a very, very difficult time getting into GCH on points. You'll need to utilize that 11 month window. I assume you are not an owner so if a pin code did come out you wouldn't be able to cancel as most owners have non-refundable policies when it comes to renting their points.

Getting a pin code is so inconsistent and who knows what impact Carsland has had on them offering pin codes at all. I would definitely not hold out for one!
