Booking with DU - question

Okay, after long planning, I'm going to use DU to make my reservation at the Yacht Club. The rate DU quoted for December is $327 a night, which includes tax. I know this is rack rate, but from what I've gathered here, I should go ahead and book the room, and later in the year, when a code comes out or an AP rate comes out, DU will lower my rate. Is that correct? I will go ahead and book the reservation if you guys tell me this is right. Thanks, it will be nice to get this step out of the way!!!

That is correct. They will keep an eye out if any codes are released that could lower your rate.

I can attest to that. When I booked through Dreams for the Swan I found nothing else available. Sue Ellen kept looking for me and found the YC for me, with an AP rate only $50 per night more than what the Swan was charging, but once you tack on the Swan's resort fee of $10 per day and their ridiculous new $7 per day parking fee for self park it wasn't that much higher. She then discouraged me from paying for water view, suggested I ask at check in. I got a comp upgrade to full water view of the lake for $0, saved me close to another $200. She, and all of the DU staff that I have had contact with have been very prompt in taking care of my needs. Sue Ellen has had the flu and I received a prompt email from DU satating that and giving me the email address of another agent if I had amy emergiencies, plus, her DH sent out emails that he was trying to handle things for her too! Ain't that great? Our local TA's aren't like that
