Booking with Costco- VGT rate

I'm hoping to book a summer Europe cruise with a VGT rate through Costco. This is my first time booking through Costco and I'm trying to figure out the logistics of it and whether it's feasible. When I called the Costco agent, they did not have the VGT cruise rate listed when she looked (this is also what I found when I looked at the Costco travel website- they had guarantee but listed with the various categories). However, if I booked myself on the Disney Cruise line website I'm presuming I would have to pay in full right away, which would also not allow me to transfer to Costco. I think I've also read on this thread that the Costco agent can call DCL with you on the phone- I asked about this today and it didn't seem to be the case. Is there any way around this? Is there a 24 hour period after booking (online directly) to PIF during which I could transfer this booking?!

Call back and speak to a different Costco agent. Explain that you saw the VGT rate in the DCL website and not on the Costco website. They can call DCL and book the VGT rate for you.

Do not book on the DCL website if you want to move to Costco. VGT rates must be paid in full when you book, so it wouldn’t be able to be moved to Costco travel.

Don't pay in full until its moved. If you book it you can ask Costco for a transfer form. As long as you send it in within 30 days of booking you should be able to have it transferred to costco. If you pay in full they will not allow you to transfer it

Costco agent can call Disney and I’ve booked VGT with Costco before. I would call again and speak to a different agent.

Costco does not instantly add GT rates when Disney does, there is a bit of a delay. But, they do have the GT rates and it may just show up later. However, I can understand wanting to book soon as they may go away. As @cvjw said call, and Costco will get DCL on the line.

Not applicable if booking a VGT rate as that requires payment in full at time of booking - you don’t get 30 days let alone 30 minutes in this scenario around VGT

Thanks so much! I called back and spoke to a different agent who was much more helpful. It did still take a while between listening to all the disclaimers, giving the necessary info and the agent calling DCL but it worked out! We are booked for August!
