Booking with an AP

Do I need to have an AP or voucher if I want to try to get an AP rate for WDW? I have had them in the past at the time of booking but am without one at the moment.

When we booked an AP rate last summer, I had to provide the voucher number in order to get the rate. I activated it on our first day at MK.

Last spring I had no trouble booking without one. I think I had to show it at check-in though. I did need a voucher number to get the Discount dining card though, but it reaaly made the whole thing payy off for me.

I called this morning and got rates w/out one. But it may depend on the CM that you get.
