Anyone have an Annual Pass? If so, how do you book the campground?

We are camping Nov/Dec 2011 and coming back for Star Tours June 2012. I am wondering if its better for us to get an Annual Pass. We want the Dining Plan so I understand that I have to book with the AP rate in order to get to add the DP.

Can you point me in the right direction?

Cheers.

Sure - you can either call Disney or go online through the Passholder's portal on the Disney website. You have to create a log-in file and then enter your pass information, then go to Passholder Offers and any discounted offers are listed there.

I am travelling solo and staying June 19 - 24 in a Partial Tent Site with QSDP for about $100 a day - not a bad deal to me at all.

Wife and I have Annual Passes, and we travel to the Wilderness Campgrounds 4-5 times/yr. I usually just log on to the Disney Website, I'm already registered as a Fla Resident, and reserve a campsite, no problem. There are several different types of dining plans, call Disney and they'll be happy to explain them all to you. Have a Magical Vacation!

Okay, sorry to hijack the thread:lovestruc...I thought the campgrounds could not have the DDP? Is this only with an annual pass holders? Um thanks for any help!

You can get the dining plan, but you can't get FREE dining with campsites, but you can get free dining staying at the cabins.

The campground does not get "free dining when offered. Paid dining plans are available.

We made the decision in February to purchase AP's. We had our Dec 2011 reservation already made (that was done in Aug 2010) and we planned a trip in Feb 2011 on relatively short notice. Since we would be there twice during the same year, would be purchasing 5 days of tickets for EACH trip with park hopper, we decided that the AP would be the best way to go. Right after I purchased them online, I called Disney back to see if AP discounts were available for the Feb week we had reserved and to my surprise, THEY WERE! I called 7 days before we checked in and was shocked that the discount was available! So at that point we had already "made money" back on our AP purchase! And it didn't stop there - since we had AP's we did a weekend trip in March (it was brutal doing that long of a drive for just one day AND our DD got sick while we were there but it was worth it)...AND we decided to do WDW for DD's Sept break at school (but we're staying at POP and taking advantage of FD for the first time).
I am waiting for the AP discounts for Dec to be announced so I can apply it to our Dec reservation! Lots of perks to having an AP - discounts at resorts, restaurants, shopping.....if you're going to go twice, it's definitely worth it, just my opinion. :)

If you like table-service meals, you may actually just want to take advantage of the Tables in Wonderland. If you purchase that, you get 20% off all your table service meals (including alcohol purchases). When you buy the dining plan I think that disney says you only end up saving up to 20%. (Back when it first started, didn't they say it would save you up to 40%). Anyway, it's just something to think about. :)
