Hi all! I'm planning my trip for October 4-14, 2006.Sqeezing in on the last day of value season! My boyfriend and I will be staying at the Polynesian (Garden View probably) for 10 nights and we'll be getting 7 day park hopper/magic plus/no expiration tickets and the dining plan.

I priced this through disney.com and it was roughly $4800.00 +/-

I just priced it through AAA and the quote that I got was roughly $4400.00 +/-

So, AAA is definitly a better deal saving over $400! But, I'm leary about booking outside of CRO. I know that many other peope book with TA's and other agencies so I'm looking for your experiences with AAA for disney travel

Thoughts and opinions are appreciated!! Thanks so much!

We use them for our trips. It saves money, and they (AAA) do a descent job.

I come from the West coast, and the agents know more about DL than DW, so it helps that I know what I want.

Still well worth it to save the money.

The AAA agent calls a AAA booking CRO at DW and they make the reservation.

Note that CRO agents are not allowed to have an opinion about anything, or tell you about any deals unless you ask, so if you find a AAA agent that knows DW, it's MUCH better than CRO direct.

After the initial reservation is made, I have called CRO a number of times with either questions, or small changes, as well as dining and event/tour reservations.

I did have one CRO agent tell me I should go through my AAA agent for some things, but he still helped me with my request, so it's not a problem to deal with CRO after AAA makes the booking if you want to.

AAA packages are booked directly thru CRO - the only difference is that your AAA agent speaks to WDW instead of you! The deals are wonderful. I just picked up my package info at my local AAA office today! We booked a package that included dining and 8 day expiring park hoppers. We saved quite a bit of $! There are other perks too - including the Diamond Card (savings on several dining options, water craft, golf and lots of other stuff), Diamond AAA parking (closest to the WDW park gates), a voucher for one trip to the VIP lounge, etc. If you book the premium packages, there are even more discounts and perks.
